Rude or What?

In my Western Civ. (I have to have a Humanities) class 2 girls look like probably right out of HS sit beside me everyday they giggle and whisper back and forth all class. Teacher even stopped once today and asked if she had a booger on her nose or something. They did not act like it bothered them,I would have crawled under the desk from embarresment. I hate to move b/c everyone kinda sits in same seat everyday. I would feel weird sitting where someone already sits. I know this sounds so lame, but come on History is hard to keep focused on anyway. We do have a great teacher.

I would like to tell them how rude they are being, but I hate to cause conflict.

I agree with pretty much everyone, you need to say something. If they are bothering you then you are probably not the only one who is being bothered. Tell the to be quiet in the middle of class and embarrass them. I teach alot and find the quickest way to stop that behavior is to put them on the spot. Good Luck

All bleeding eventually stops and all rythms eventually become recogizable

I quote from one of my nursing instructors on the lecture she gave on Monday...."if you can't hear the teacher because of talking turn around to them and tell them to SHUT UP!" I agree with boggle..you are paying to be there and so are these girls (or maybe their parents are). If you don't feel like you can tell them to shut up ask the teacher to say something...it's really his/her responsibility to do so anyway! Good luck!;)
