Maybe you guys can help?

Hi everyone. I am having to get all kinds of immunizations for school. And, I am trying to save money. So, I have to have a Hep. B titer- which cost $55. If I do not have enough antibodies, then I have to take the 3 -shot series over again. Or, I can just go ahead and get the immunizations for $26-hence saving my self a little bit of money.

My question is, could it hurt me, to start the series if I don't need them? (meaning if I do have enough antibodies??)

A second series of Hep-B will not hurt at all. I had to repeat mine for NS as records of my first series were destroyed in Katrina. Like you, I found that the shots were less expensive than the titer.
