How to get a nurse tech job as a student?! Please help!

I'm currently in my third year of nursing school and trying to find a nurse tech job for the summer at home. I'm been searching online and I've only found jobs that require you to have a CNA license, which I don't have.

I dont know where to look or what to search. I don't have any previous medical experience aside from clinicals and everything from school.

Your state laws are important here. For example, in the state where I attended nursing school, third year students were automatically added to the state's CNA registry, effectively granting them a "license" (it's a certificate, not a license). I would talk to your school instructors to see what the usual process is for your state.

Otherwise, if you're looking for a job that doesn't require you to be a CNA, look for positions for unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP), which may also be titled "Patient Care Aide" or "Patient Care Assistant".

At most places, 2 semesters of clinical experience will equal a cna. Some hospitals specifically hire nursing students and some do not. Your best bet is to contact their HR depts.
