I am posting this in hopes that maybe a 'supportive' parent/husband/boyfriend/etc is also skimming the board.

The next time you decide to ask your wife,etc..what's for dinner.????WHAT'S FOR DINNER???!!!..when her horns pop up this is why, oh yeah...another thing.....and NEVER EVER SAY.."when I was a BUSINESS MAJOR''...we had to study just as hard. Not to put a Business degree down, but NEVER EVER compare it to the field of nursing...

For TOMORROW'S lecture the REQUIRED readings are:

Fundamentals of Nursing - read Ch 17 and Ch 18 (total 55 pages)

Interpersonal Relationships - read Ch 19

Medical Surgical - just read the whole book...

Nutrition and Diet Therapy - pgs 237-250

There are ELEVEN -11 articles that you can read from the library...YES...11.

For example...

1. "Polypharmacy in the Elderly", Nursing Spectrum p 29 - 34.

oh nooooo, they couldn't just be a nice Martha-Stewart-short- type of article, they are all at least 10 pages worth.

I will not list them, but they are from 7 different Nursing magazines.

AND I AM NOT THROUGH...after class, there is an IV Therapy module that must be done and a passing grade of 90% must be accomplished before you can attend the practice session.

Then, we must be nicely dressed to go to the hospital and pick up our patient assignments for Thursday and Friday's clinical/care plans....shall I even harp on the care plans?..

AND YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S FOR DINNER??

Thanks for the chuckle nursebucky!! You nailed this topic dead on!

I'm EXTREMELY fortunate to have a DH that is supportive of my academic endeavors. It wasn't ALWAYS that way though!! I've screamed "Pizza or McDonald's, you pick!" more than a few times when he asked that INANE question early on in this nursing school journey.

NOW, however, he is doing ALL of the cooking, and even wakes up am 5:30 am to COOK me breakfast before clinicals!!! :eek:

Of course, we have an agreement that after NCLEX, he will stay home with the kids and I'll work. A few days ago he told me ..."only 14 months to go..only 14 months." LOL!!! I think he's keeping HIS eyes on the "prize" too!!
