Direct Entry MSN Programs DePaul, Rush, Elmhurst

Hi guys. I'm looking to get into a direct entry MSN program for either Fall 2017 or Spring 2018. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a psychology bachelor of arts degree and had a 3.0 GPA. I'm taking all the required science prereqs for Rush University, DePaul, and Elmhurst in Illinois right now at College of Dupage and hope to get all A's. I haven't taken the GRE yet, but plan on taking a class soon and studying my butt off.

I'm just really worried about my lower GPA from my bachelors, I understand it meets exactly the requirement, but does anyone have comments or anyone gotten in to any of these programs with a lower GPA?

Any advice or comments would help!!!

How long ago did you finish your BA?

I just got in to Rush with an undergrad GPA of 2.88, but I finished my BA in way back in 1997. NursingCAS will recalculate your overall GPA to include any post-bacc classes. My overall GPA got up to a 3.25 after I took the pre-req science classes at City Colleges of Chicago. I also had really high GRE scores working in my favor. So yes, you can recover from a "low" undergrad GPA.

Good luck!
