Can anyone advise me on how to go about receiving Phlebotomy training?

Today, I worked on revamping my resume (when I should of been studying) and I got to thinking about how to best market myself (besides a new grad).

I was thinking that it might be wise of me to practice my puncture/BD. I've done a little research on the topic and found that some employers do on the job training for phlebotomy, but I'm defiantly now aware of the protocols with all that.

I'm not seeking a full time job now (b/c I test in less than 2 months), I was thinking of trying to find some type of intern, volunteer, or shadowing/training position. Would anyone happen to know if this is at all possible??? If I had extra cash I would just take the Phlebotomy course but I would assume that having my BSN degree would give me the credentials to practice.

I did not get much practice in nursing school, except for 2 days with the IV team who did let me stick as many patients as they could and then I spent most of my time on the Oncology unit and Operating room for my preceptorship.

If anyone knows of any resources that I could check into I would really appreciate it. For the life of me I cannot think of anyone that I should contact for such.

Thanks so much. Feel free to send me an email if you want.

Cheers
