Assessing drug excretion

Does anyone know where I can find info about what lab tests are used to determine renal function...whether it is impaired.....so as to better know what drugs can be administered to high-risk pts?

Checked medline.....and my books, of course. Coming up empty.

The kidney function tests would be the BUN (Blood urea nitrogen ) and the creatinine clearance. Both measure kidney function
