Have you ever fallen in love? If it was anything like when I started to feel something for my husband, you were nervous as all hell.
I wanted everything to go right. And, any misstep or problem was a catastrophe.
If he didn't return a call quick enough, I thought "maybe he doesn't really like me" or "maybe there is someone else he'd rather be with".
Nursing school and a career in nursing are like falling in love.
The moment that you become secure enough in yourself and your relationship with it...
that's when you can relax and that's when you can feel the love. In this moment, you become confident that you are meaningful and belong exactly where you are.
That's when you realize that you made the right choice. You were meant to be together.
That's when you start doing things right. That's when you become a good nursing student. That's what will help you be a good nurse.
So, don't let bumps in the road, mistakes, bad clinical days or poor test grades shake the love and dedication that is deep in your heart.
Best of luck to you all.

Them crazy nursing students from N.C....all weird and stuff! Haha
It's true, the people that find nursing to be like their "new love" are going to really enjoy their new career.

Thank you! Needed to read something like that.. super nervous for my first day on Wednesday!
Honestly, the best thing ya'll can do for yourselves is destress. It's ok to worry, but try not to stress about school. It's just going to take up needed brain space. Lol
Seriously ya'll, YOU MADE IT! You're obviously smart enough. If you study hard, yet don't get stressed, you'll do fine and go on to be great nurses!
