Winter Classes- what is everyone taking???

Hello everyone. Just wondering what or if everyone registered for winter semester. I see alot of people saying spring? My school is spring/summer/fall/winter semesters. I am so happy to almost be done with A&P, I think I am actually going to get through it maybe with a B. I have Muscular System lab still to do. I am signing up for this winter

A&P II--

Intro to Pharmacology class

American Government and Maybe Life Span. Can't decide if it's going to be too much yet. By the way everyone HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING. ENJOY YOUR DAY!!! For those early birds shopping the day after like myself HAPPY SHOPPING!!!:p

no winter classes at our school, i'm also in a&p and have muscle labtest and final left.

i'll be in 'cookie-baking 101' after dec 6, can't wait to just be at home and prepare for x-mas and make a gingerbread house:)

We have spring and fall. I'll have in January:

Nursing skills

Intro to clinical practice

and Nursing fundamentals

AP 2 for me next semester, my class starts Jan 7. When we return next week we'll have finals on AP1 lecture. The week after that is finals for lab..Whew!

My undergrad school have fall/winter/spring. Winter term was horrid. Two months, barely, of classes that met an hour and 15 minutes every day. But we only took two classes (8 hours). It was infamous for being hard, b/c even though shorter, the same volume of material as the wing terms was taught. Actually, after decades of complaints, they're doing away with it in the next few years. I'm kinda sad, even though it was dreadful, b/c it made my school unique. A&P II would have been unbearable in the winter term. I hope you have a better experience, good luck!

For spring classes I have a slightly nutty schedule. Not so much credit wise but I'm taking three different classes at three different campuses. It's all part of the local public university/community college system so no problems transferring credit etc.

At the community college I'm currently taking classes at I'm taking Pharmacology.

At another community college downtown, I'm taking a Intro Organic/BioChem class, becuase this one isn't offered at the cc I usually take classes at.

And at the local public university, I'm taking a 4xx Nutrition online. So at least I don't have go there except for exams, though it is the closest to home.:chuckle

I will be taking:

Microbiology (Lab and Lecture)

Nursing 100 :)

I will be taking:

Microbiology (Lab and Lecture)

Nursing 100 :)

I will also take Microbiology :)

My school is spring/summer/fall/winter semesters.

Wouldn't those be "quarters", not semesters?

We called the fall/winter/spring system trimesters, they're not really quarters or semesters, b/c summer wasn't included in the normal school year. Either way, we referred to them as semesters, b/c it was easier.

Wow, sounds like my situation. I too am taking classes at 3 different schools that all credits will be transferable to my home school. The pharmacology class I am taking I believe is just an intro so that when you get into nursing school you know the basics. A lot of people have failed when they were in the program that portion of it so now it is required you take this class. I am kind of nervous because I don't know anyone who took a Intro to Pharmacology therefor I can't ask anyone. They say there are no dosage calculations in this portion of the class so maybe it wont be that bad.

I will be taking my first class in 8 yrs come January!:uhoh3:

Im really nervous but excited too. I will be taking A & P 1.

O by the way did I mention I have to get an A ?

To get into the nursing program I will have to get A's in A & P 1 and 2 as well as Micro. No pressure!:rotfl:

Not necessarily.

DallasCCCD has the following:

Spring (16 weeks)

Fall (16 weeks)

Summer I (5 weeks)

Summer II (5 weeks)

Winter-Mester (4 weeks)

May-Mester (8 weeks)

....Talk about utilizing all available days. lol

For the Winter-Mester, I am retaking my College Algebra class. (B in 2001, need an A!)

For Spring '06, I am taking 2 online classes, Nutrition and History 1302. The History class is an accelerated class 1/18 - 3/10, and if I finish early I'm going to try to take Government 2302 as well. (Starts in February.)

If not, I'll take Government 2302 and Statistics in the summer. THEN, HOPEFULLY, WILL START NURSING COURSES IN THE FALL!

OK, now that I have told you my college life story, I'll spare you with my personal life story. :chuckle

Good luck to you all, and enjoy your break away from studying!
