Help with CE's (Particularly in WV) I'm CONFUSED!

Hi! I'm a newly registered nurse in the state of west virginia. I know very little about CE's. I have received nothing on them, the only info I know is from the website, which is still confusing me. So, It's July, I apparently reinstate my license in October (that's when it expires) so do I need all 12 CE's by then? I've also read something about a mandatory pain management course. I don't know where to do these! I have yet to find job. Please help :D

As I understand it from the website, the only thing you have to complete your first year of licensure is 2 hours for end of life pain management. You can send an email to the board and ask them specifically what you are required to do.

http://nursece.com/courses.html#9013 is one site offering such a course, will cost you less than $20. I'm sure there are others if you google it, you may even find it for free.

Medscape offers lots of free CE via email, it's an easy way to get them throughout the year without paying for it.

ok thank you so much! i was wondering if those online courses were ok to take, seems much more convienent! thanks again :)
