I'd be interested to know the same. We're moving back to NC (where I was born and raised) and I'm interested in that program too.

I'm currently in the ECU program. It not difficult but it is very very time consuming, even going part time. Some instructors believe you should put everything else on hold (including work) and focus only on school. But you know LIFE happens, like bills, kids and food, so life must go on outside of ECU.

I'm in clinical and I love it. I'm keeping my head above water and keeping my eyes on the prize.

Are you doing the distance program? Have you found it difficult to find clinical placements? I have heard they are competetive, esp in the Greenville area.

Actually ECU's program is only a distance learn program and they have the only midwifery program in the state of NC. There is a placement person that takes care of clinical placement. She tries to place you as close to your home as possible. There are four clinical semesters in the program. I am in my first rotation is at a health department which is 30 minutes away from home. At first I was upset because they gave a placement that was 10 minute from my house to another student that did not live inthis town. But Things happen for a reason and I am very happy with my assignment, it's a awesome experience that I would not have received at a birth center. Next semester I'll be at UNC which is only 5 minutes away from home.
