Question for CM's w/ home offices...

I know your office has to have a locked door. But does it have to be a separate, dedicated room, or can I set my office up in my bedroom? (it is very large and no one shares it with me). I have a separate phone line in there, and a locked door, and plenty of space, it would work great for me. If not, I'm going to have to kick my roommate out of his office (he works from home also).

Also, will they require proof of the security of my office, or will someone come inspect it before I start working?

Who will you be working for? I'm sure they will have a list of requirements that you must meet. In the past, I've heard that employers stop in once yearly announced and once yearly unannounced; however I'm sure your employer can give you more clear details about this. I would contact your supervisor and/or HR department for additional information regarding their requirements. Good luck!
