Thoughts on Henderson

U.S.A. Arkansas

Have any?

They don't have an accelerated program by any means, but I've got all of their prereqs and I could fall in with a regular class. It's also fairly close to where I'm at although I'd still have to quit my job to go. Arkadelphia seems ok. All in all, I think I'd rather go to ASU since it's only a year, but if not there and forced to go to a regular program then why not there albeit I'm still not 100% on board with being an RN.

Well, I just read up some about Henderson's nurse school, and their "uniform" for the clinical setting is about as stupid as they could make it - white oxford shirt, red pants, and white shoes. :jester:

It probably isn't the best idea to choose a school based on their uniforms. I am a senior nursing student at Henderson, and while the uniform is not something I would have chosen for myself, I have had an amazing experience. Also keep in mind that with the economy being as it is more nurses are going back to work, giving employers the opportunity to be a little more choosy about who they hire. Having a BSN is going to be preferred.

ArkansasFan...Did you end up attending Henderson or ASU?

I am apply to Henderson, Nevada this Fall. How is the program? is it good? How are you doing in the program? Let me know more about this school because I am choosing between the Henderson, WEst Coast and American Health Science. I don't know which one is good. If I stay in CA, I don't have to worry about rent and living expense. but If I move to Nevada, I have to pay for those.
