I am planning on starting the LPN program in July '10!:yeah: I was wondering what the attire for class is? I figured I could wear scrubs but I didnt know if it was like many hospitals that require solid colors or a specific color. Also I will be planning on the accelerated RN track in Januray '12, so will the attire be the same for both.

I just want to be prepared for whatever is expected.

That's good to know about the scrubs! Do you know if you we can purchase them ahead of time or is it something we have to buy from the school?

I just graduated again from Baptist in December (I did LPN, then went back for the LPN to RN) and the dress code is solid navy scrubs for class and solid white for clinicals with a solid navy lab jacket. 95% White leather shoes, no open back (clogs). Thats it! LPN is very strict on attire, RN was not (for class) . I wish you both good luck and know that the best opportunities are the ones you make for yourself!! You will learn a LOT if you allow yourself to!

Oh yeah, you can purchase them anywhere you want. There will be someone there selling them on Welcome day but it's easier to buy them before!

I got my acceptance letter in a few weeks ago. Just mailed my $100 deposit off. I am so excited. But if you have not got yours yet dont worry because I was originally accepted into the January class and for financial reasons i had to wait till July.

Thanks for the heads up on the uniforms I am going to see where I can get them, I know of Griffey's but they are expensive. Is there anywhere cheaper?

Hey Drake's mom! Idk why I'm just now seeing your post, but CONGRATS! Yes, I'm still waiting & starting to get nervous! haha! So, did you hafta retake the ACT or anything? I had to retake it, so that's what my hold up is....Hopefully I get in, everyone is telling me not to worry because they pretty much accept everybody, but I'll be nervous until the day I get that letter in the mail! CONGRATS again girl! I'm happy for ya!

LPN wore blue scrubs to class and for clinicals white scrubs with blue lab coats.

I'm starting at Baptist in july as well doing the RN express track!! So excited!! I'm ready to wear those navy scrubs! :) lol

Congradulations! You'll be wearing white ones too for clinicals. Be prepared to give your whole life over to it. My husband had to take over most of the housework and taking care of the 3 kids. It's not a good bargain for them. Hang on!

so if you are in the express that starts in july 2010, when are you expected to be done?

Nurse2b..sometime in 2012 not sure of the month. Its a 2 year express track
