Nurse, secretary or Jack of all Trades??

by laurasc

Do you find in your practice that you do a lot more than just nurse? I was just thinking about it. Officially my job description is nurse but unofficially I'm also secretary, receptionist, courier, computer tech, handy-woman, and cleaning lady.

And for this I went to nursing school???

Hi Jean
How many docs are in your practice? Are you doing all the extra work because the practice is small?

That is my sad story.. one doc, one receptionist/biller and me the nurse/secratary/ records clerk etc. I try to view it as a challenge but I will admit the phones are overwhelming,. And people have such high expectations of "Service" What can we do about that?

Ps Do you have your flu vaccine?
