Hello there fellow nurses,

I am a nurse from the Philippines and currently working in Saudi Arabia. I have heard that the Caribbean and the Bahamas offers good work for nurses.. How do you apply for a Nursing license? and waht will you do as an oversees nurse to apply..

Specializes in geriatrics.

I just returned from The Bahamas. It's extremely expensive and nurses average 38,000 US per year. You wouldn't be able to afford their cost of living. Grand Cayman is even more costly. Also, unless you are a member of the Commonwealth Nation (Canada, Australia, UK, Jamaica, BVI) obtaining a work permit is not easy. You would need to go online and visit the Bahamas Immigration site and look for nursing.

hi how about in Nassau Bahamas? Is it also expensive there? Just recently I applied at Sandilands Rehab Center and with God's grace I passed the skype interview. Another question, do you have any idea how long will employment contract arrive? My agent says it takes 3-4 months and even a year? is that true? thanks for your coming comments..

Hi, I'm interested in Nassau as well as a RN, but I haven't been able to find any websites where they have the job listings for nurses, can anyone shed some light on this & I'm always curious how does the work permit work, coming from the US?

Hello, what agent did you use, i am registered with the council but could not find any job listing online so i guess using an agent will work. Thanks.

Hello, I am a registered nurse in the Philippines.
