The most important thing to do is trust in the lord and have faith. I graduate on May 9th, 2008. About 3 to 4 days later, I was studying for the NCLEX using the Sauders book. Those questions seemed easy, so I did some research on Kaplan. I heard good reviews and immediately wanted to enrolled. I didn't have enough money, so my aunt offered to pay $500 as a graduation gift. I gladly accepted. The Kaplan course was the perfect tool, that help my mind get to going. The questions on Q bank were the best. Everyday, I would do at least 100 questions (sometimes more). The Q bank questions were very hard. At first, I would get 60% to 65% correct. As I continued to practice, my grades increased to 75% to 80%. The week before taking the NCLEX, I had so much anxiety. This was the worst feeling! I prayed and did questions, and did questions and prayed. The day before I took the NCLEX, I didnt attempt any practice questions. I read my BIBLE! My other aunt who is a minister gave me a scripture to read. II Timothy chapter 1 and verse 7 [For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind]. This scripture gave me strength and decreased my anxiety. Later on that night, the devil was telling me that I wouldn't pass the test. So I rebuked the devil in the name of JESUS. I couldnt go to sleep, so I read my bible, and soon fell asleep.
On the day of the test (JULY 11th), I arrived to the testing center early. I began to walk around the building, and praising GOD. I walked around the building 3 times, due to anxiety. I asked GOD to give me 75 questions. When I entered into the testing center, I was so scared, so I continued to pray and trust in Jesus. My first question was easy, then they begin to get a little bit harder. The questions that I was unsure about, I would take my best educated guess, and say thank you jesus, and move on to the next question. After I answered question number 75 the computer offered me a break. I took the break, and went into the restroom. I got on my knees, and prayed. I told GOD that I asked for 75 questions, but if I have to do more, he would have to give me the strength. When I got back into the testing center, the proctor told me that I was finished! I start praising GOD. It took me one hour and fifty minutes to complete the test. I was the first one to finish.
When I got home, I surrounded myself with my family. They said positive things to me. They said that I have already received the victory. On Saturday, I fasted by not drinking sodas, to sacrifice something that I like to the LORD. I received my results on a Sunday morning. I PASSED! The only thing I could do was cry:cry: and praise GOD:bow:. That was a great feeling.
Everybody who hasn't taken the NCLEX should study, pray, and have faith. Remember! Work without faith is undone. You must Study and pray. Show the Lord that you really want it, and he will give you your heart desire.
