UTMB Spring 2013

Mid -September?! This summer is already going by slow enough! And of doesn't help that I check mystar at least five times a day! Lol

I called a few days ago, and someone told me we should be expecting to hear about interviews mid september. and that they ask about 200-250 people to come in for a interview.

Sometimes more than once. I got called in for two interviews last cycle and still didn't get selected. I will say to be ready; they seem to like to call you in at the last minute. Both times I got called on Friday to be there on Tuesday, which isn't so bad if you live in the area, but I'm coming from several hours away and had to make last minute changes to work schedules, find pet boarding, etc.

I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining; I'm really not. I'll do whatever I have to to get in. I'm just trying to give a heads up for what to expect for those who may not live in the area.

What are the interviews like?

heyjude91 Applications were due June 15th. You cannot apply through their website anymore, you were supposed to apply through NursingCAS and send all your stuff to them before Jun 15th. If you did they you should have gotten a letter with a supplemental application link from UTMB. Once that is complete you will get a user name and password to be able to track your application progress online.

I just got my acceptance letter to the spring semester! I guess I got admitted so fast because I was on the waiting list for the fall semester.. Does anyone know if there has been a fb page set up yet?

Congratulations! WOW! I do not think there is a facebook page set up just yet, considering nobody else has been accepted.

I've seen a lot of people mention a mystar account... , Maybe I'm being a ditz, but what is that?

Hey everyone! I have watched this thread for a while now and finally decided to make an account. I was accepted at the very end of June! Can't wait to hear who else will be accepted in the coming months!

to the people who got accepted! do u mind sharing ur gpa and teas scores? I'm so scared now because I haven't recieved anything yet. how did yall find out?

It states on the letter that we can accept or decline the acceptance thru MyStar, but mine says that I have no application for admission. Is yours the same as well?

My TEAS was an 87.3. Science GPA 4.0. Prerequisite GPA was a 3.9ish. And my GPA from my first degree was a 3.85. The only prerequisite class I have left is microbiology. I applied in the middle of May and was accepted at the end of June. I think it's all pretty random, though.

It took about a week for my mystar to change. Then I had to get a totally new username/password.

Congrats to you too! My MyStar hasn't changed either, I e-mailed the office of admissions and they said they will look into it, but I have been accepted. I mailed the acceptance letter back to them, I think that as long as we do that we will be good :)
