Jan 5, 201313 yr Hi! I know this thread is old but I saw your post about commuting from Richmond to UTMB. I also live in Richmond and I applied for the fall 2013. I wanted to know if the commute is too bad or if you would recomend moving there.

Jan 28, 201313 yr Hey everyone, so I can't seem to find out which classes are considered in calculating the science gpa and pre-req gpa for utmb. I was wondering if someone can help me. Here's how my transcript looks (it doesn't feel very impressive after reading everyone else's gpa but maybe I'm calculating wrong).Chem lecture 3 hours CChem lab 1 hour AEnglish 1 3 hours AIntro to psychology 3 hours BHistory 1 3 hours AEnglish 2 3 hours AAnat 1 3 hours BAnat 1 lab 1 hour CNutrition 3 hours CDevelopmental Psych 3 hours BGovernment 1 3 hours BStatistics 3 hours BSociology 3 hours AMicrobiology 3 hours BMicro lab 1 hour BPhilosophy 3 hours AGovernment 2 3 hours BHistory 2 3 hours BAnat 2 3 hours BAnat 2 lab 1 hour BArt 3 hours AThen I have 2 classes, 1 of which is like an intro to college class called University 1011 which was 1 hour with an A and Financial and quantitative literacy which was 3 hours and I made a B. I don't think these classes would be factored. If anyone could help me I would be extremely thankful...My teas score was not impressive either but well above their cutoff.
Feb 18, 201313 yr @ChristenNease Hello!! I am a first semester student at UTMB (I started in January). If you go to the UTMB School of Nursing website... under Bachelor degree program it will list all of the classes needed for admission into the program! But UTMB is really good at looking at nursing applicants as a WHOLE. They consider every class, your TEAS score, and especially your personal statement (probably the most important aspect they look at) that is included with your application. TAKE TIME writing your personal statement!! If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to ask! I will try and get on here as often as I can!
Hey guys!
