They are pretty quick about accepting the request. The mods on the page are students, so they add us when they get a chance

No one has received their packet yet, we'll probably get it around the end of November. I think we get the info. about the software either in the packer or orientation.

On the other note:

I applied and got accepted to both UTHSC and TWU. Like you, I heard from UTMB first, plus it was my top choice, so I accepted immediately and ended up just formally declining the other schools whenever I heard from them. I've been lucky enough to meet students from UTMB at my local coffee shop and they really love the college and say the professors actually care for the students. So, it concreted even more that UTMB was the right choice!

Thanks Sumokitty! I just got my request accepted to the FB group. I've been reading all the posts and documents, trying to not freak out about all the stuff I need to do. I feel behind already!!! When did you get your acceptance to UT? Just curious since I hadn't heard anything yet. Looking forward to meeting you and all my fellow classmates in January!

[QUspellller13;7013387]Hello everyone! I just had to join after getting such awesome information from all of you. I, too, have been accepted for spring 2013. I'm very excited for January to come around. Has anybody received their new student packet yet? I'm dying to get more details about orientation, signing up for classes, etc. Also, has anybody downloaded the required software we're going to need for clinicals? We're supposed to have a PDA or smartphone with the software. And one more question. I've requested to join the facebook group for our class. UTMB SON Class of Spring 2014, right? How long is the turnaround to be accepted into the group? I just sent my request yesterday but I'm anxious to read the wall posts.

On another note, did anybody apply to UTHSC? I've read a ton of posts on that thread but nobody mentions having applied to UTMB. I haven't heard back from UTHSC but when I received my acceptance letter from UTMB, the deadline to accept was Oct. 5th. I had to accept, even though I hadn't heard back from UT. Were any of you in this same situation? Lucky for me, UTMB was my first choice. Looking forward to your comments!

Hi peller! I applied to UTHSC as well. They will send the rest of the letters out by mid November.

Hello everyone. I noticed a few of you have asked if anyone else applied to UTHSC Houston. I also applied there and got my acceptance letter about 3 weeks ago or so but I turned down my spot there since I am going to be at UTMB. Hope this helps. :) Best of luck to everyone still waiting.

My roommate was denied admission in July, but today she got a letter in the mail saying she has been wait-listed. We find this extremely odd and are as confused as can be...and nervous!

I received a letter saying I was wait listed a couple of weeks ago, but received a call yesterday saying I was admitted!! Super excited! But what should I be doing now?
