and it wasn't too bad. The science portion was hell for me, because I took only life science in high school, and know nothing about chemistry or anything else. My school requires a total score of 67% and I scored a 81.4%. I can re-take every 3 months and they will always take the highest score. I'm glad that I know what to expect now if I do re-take. Everyone in the room was so nervous! One girl was on the floor meditating before the test began, another clutching her hands together, looking up, and mouthing words... assuming she was praying... I just wanted to tell everyone to relax!! LOL I got funny looks when I finished in 50 minutes. SO glad it's over.

Congrats!!!!!
I'm taking the TEAS test sometime in the summer or fall. What book did you use to study?
Thank you!! I used the TEAS study guide. I suggest buying it from the ati website... you can get the book and a practice test for a good price. I paid $53 for my book because it was from my school bookstore... I didn't have time to order online as I only had about 2 weeks to study.
GL on your studying!

I didn't study at all and I got an overall score of 80. Keep in mind I am currently taking algerbra 2 at at community college so that helped. But still I actually almost timed out on the math and suggest taking the advice of other posters and doing what you know and skipping what you don't know. That way you can go back and spend more time or just guess on the ones you don't know. You probably want to glance at metric conversions.
English and reading portions were pretty easy but these are my stronger subjects. I'd also take a look at correct comma placement especaily before or after the word "and".
The science isen't really anything I feel you can study for, it's kind of random. I had some stuff about rocks and clouds on there and very few anatomy of phys questions. It took me about 2 1/2 hrs but there were people who finished before me and plenty of people still taking the test when I left. I'm glad its over!

I also didn't study for the test and got an 87. I agree with another poster that you should know your metric conversions and where commas should go in a sentence. I'm a science major so I had a little bit of an advantage but the science questions aren't ones that you can really study for. Know your basic chemistry stuff like neutrons and how their addition affects an atom. There was also one about sedimentary rock and the different kinds of plates that make up the earths surface. If you don't remember the order mitosis goes in that would be a good one to study. IPMAT = interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase and I always remember that they line up in the middle during metaphase because middle and meta both start with M. I wish I could remember more questions for you.

Congratulation. I am taking the test in two days. I was told two days ago I was accepted into the LVN to RN program and that I need to come in right away to take the test. I have had the study guide (version 3) for a little over a month and have not really looked at it. I was expecting to take the test in the May or June. I do not have any chemistry background and my life and physical science classes were a long time ago. I hope I will do well. Do you get the results of the test right away?

I have been studying version 3.0 and they just told me that we are taking version V. Do you guys think that they are similar and that I will be fine? I tried to order the new Ati practice test online but my school is not listed there to get it. I am really nervous that I am studying the wrong things. I also am using the Mcgraw hill book.
I feel that the study guides are just to keep you fresh in knowledge. From what I gather, the TEAS test is testing you on knowledge that you should have already attained. I feel that the study guides are to help you with critical thinking and concepts to approach the test. That's my 2 cents.
