  1. I'm about to enter the 4th week of my program.. We have already taken 2 exams (which i made the bare minimum to pass on both) and I have my 3rd this week plus my first skills check off. I'm utterly and completely overwhelmed your not alone. I wonder if I can make it through this all the time! And its only the 4th week of school, which is soooo scary!
  2. Thank you very much for the advice!
  3. I got my letter informing me that i have been chosen to interview for a nursing program. My question is or those of you who have gone through a nursing interview, what type of questions should i expect?
  4. There is a great deal of earth science on there. Know the rock types, and plate tectonics. Im trying to think there where a few questions about independent and dependent variables. Know all about the scientific method. i had a strand of DNA or RNA and had to complete the sequence. I didn't really know how to do those lol. Know the different kind of bonds (covalent, ionic) know what and isotope is. thats about all i can think of at the moment.
  5. Has anyone else failed the math portion of the TEAS? I think i just didnt spend quite enough time studying for it, however I did pass all the other sections just missed passing math by 3 points I didnt do well on ratio/porp. and metric conversions. I swear i though i understood both these things and still feel pretty good about them and do well on practice exams. I think i just got really distracted also about the time.. it really got to me. I was like half was done and only had like 10 mins left. I retake it the 16th.. i sure hope i pass this time.
  6. Ok i think im good on converting from one unit to another. I did the whole metric mania worksheet! I was wondering could you show the formula for converting Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice versa just to make sure i have it right. Thanks :)
  7. I have been studying on how to for example take 250mg and convert it to grams... i know how to convert any metric measure to another metric measure. I also know how to go from Celsius to Fahrenheit, and kilograms to pounds. Is that all i need to know for the conversions or is there more i should be studying.
  8. I am hoping to start nursing school fall '10. The school im applying to requires you to take the TEAS before you appy cause the count as a percentage towards whether or not you get and interview. I take my teas this friday the 26th..sure hope i do well so that i can get my app in right away..then comes the nervousness of waiting to hear about an interview!
  9. ah yeah i had seen it, it wont hurt to look over those things again though.
  10. Im not sure if i have or not, i have read so many..
  11. Thanks for the reassurance! It's good to know that im not the only that has struggled with grasping all this science..
  12. I'm taking the TEAS this Friday, and i think it just hit me all at once today that i have so little time left before i take it. I feel fairly good over all about my preparation..except when it comes to the Science section.. That thing is making me just want to cry (which i have off and on lol) It just seems like an impossible about of information to try and study and get refreshed on. Alot of the information for me is brand new. I got my ged, and then when straight into college at started my core classes. But the cc that im applying to only required A&PI , A&P2 & micro...so needles to say i know much about chemistry or physics.. And the thought of this is just stressing me out! I have the ATI study guide and have been working in it for about 2 months. I have taken the practice tests in there and i will get 3 right..2wrong..4 right 2 wrong im just kinds inconsistent. I just hope and pray that I can make a passing score on the science section thats all im shooting for there. Did any of the rest of you feel this stressed about the science before you took it?
  13. Congrats, i cant wait to get that letter!
  14. Thanks for all the info.. I really like the worksheet of metric mania. I think thanks to that i finally understand what im doing! YAY!
  15. Can anyone who has taken the TEAS remember any of the metric conversion questions that were on there.. Im just trying to make sure that I understand it, and from what i have heard that is one thing i really need to make sure i know. Thanks in advance for the help!!
