What is 'Christmas break'?

half day today - fun day for the kids so hopefully i'm not needed too much. I hate when the kiddos get sick right before the break

Half day - attendance is low - but I do have a two hour health curriculum planning meeting before dismissal at 11:30.

So close I can taste it...

Thinking our attendance will be low today since it was the day before Thanksgiving!

Walking one of my littles to class this morning I heard a 1st grade teacher say to her only student in a not so nice tone "well you're the only one here today and you're gonna work". Some teachers need to retire... Anyhoo. 4 1/2 hours until 2 glorious weeks off! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

That is so sad. If it is her only student, she could make lasting memories with such a young mind. Something that child would never forget.

In other news, I only have a half day too! Yay! Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone!

Just taking a moment with a couple of cookies and some (non-alcoholic) eggnog courtesy of one of the office secretaries. This calendar year is officially over at 2:30, though I'll probably be here a bit longer. I've got four students coming in to be decathed but we're going to see if their last period teacher will let them come down early.
