Theme music

If you could choose a song that would play when you entered your facility, what would it be?

Mine?

And when I feel I have successfully saved the world for the day:

This one too to keep the jungle theme going-

And this one when the shift starts to drag-

The last song cracks me up. I think I'll use that to annoy people the next time I work.:lol2:;)

This song always comes to mind as I'm climbing the stairs to my floor.

I saw the musical hair last year and this song really stuck with me. I find myself humming/singing it when I get stressed at work.

I know which resident will sing along with me, another who would give me a look like I have 8 heads and I know which co-worker would start throwing charts at me. lol

Perfect for those hot summer nights when you pull up the hospital driveway, see half a dozen ambulances in the bay. Off in the distance you can hear the wail of sirens, and you just know it's going to be a rip-roaring shift...

"Feel it comin' in the air, hear the screams from everywhere

I'm addicted to the thrill, it's a dangerous love affair

Can't be scared when it goes down; got a problem, tell me now

Only thing that's on my mind, is who's gonna run this town tonight

--We are, yeah I said it, we are..."

Whether or not you imagine the scene from Kill Bill that goes with it (we'd rather not - we see enough trauma without making more for ourselves), it's still an awesome entrance theme.

The chorus perfectly sums up a night in Triage... or Minor Care... or really anywhere in the Department...

"Everybody open your mouth, everybody just say Ah

Everything will be all right, this won't hurt at all

Everybody get in line, everybody turn and cough

Everything will be all right if you'd just lay off!"

My favorite "exit theme" piece. Okay, so this one's more or less regional for us (and I'm sure a few people from a certain state south-southeast of here will roundly hate it :p), but it's great, uplifting, I-just-saved-a-life music.
