I work in med-surg but plan on moving to L&D after experience. Here are my color choices....:thnkg:

1. Black (but I am afraid everyone may have that color...I don't start til Monday)

2. Ciel Blue

3. Seafoam Green

4. Baby Pink

ciel blue!! :)

Whichever color you get make sure that you have your name engraved - not a guarantee but helps if you work with people who like to borrow!

I think seafoam green, it will be a nice contrast to your scrubs without being to pink.

Personally, I would go with the pink. If you lay it down somewhere, you will spot it easily. It would also discourage theft or "temporary borrowing" by any males! Definitely do get it engraved!

personally i hate pink and would never consider buying, wearing or using anything in that color. but given that you're actually considering pink, go with pink. for one thing, no one else will have that color so your stethescope will be instantly recognizable. and second, no self-respecting physician (or nurse) is going to want to steal a pink stethescope and if they pick it up by accident, they're going to notice the color right away!

Ciel blue sounds like it'll match the best...but seafoam green and pink are less likely to walk off IMO. Just pick anything but the black!

Baby pink!

Let us know which color wins.

I am going for bright orange so that I can spot the bugger who steals it more easily.

I personally like black because I would be too afraid of pink or ceil blue looking dingy after awhile. Since you are moving to L&D wont they have a lot of pink there as well? If you want color, I agree with the above statements that the Seafoam green would look nice with navy blue. Good Luck with your decision.

i would go for the bright pink because it's much less likely to sprout legs and escape...

when i began nursing in orthopedics, my stethoscope was a bright embarassing -- did i mention

that it was bright? -- purple and i can guarantee that no nurse, attending, resident, intern, aide, ever ever absconded with it. strange looking ... yes ... effective? ... very much so. and do have it engraved.

Ha my friend told me the seafoam green too...I will be making my decision by Monday for sure! And yes this website I found (off of here) has free engraving on it! So I am getting my 1st name and RN engraved on it.

well i'm a purple freak but out of the colors you listed i'd pick ciel blue..but it's up to you, have fun with it! with so many institutions mandating scrub colors (navy, bleh) it's one of the few opportunities we have to express ourselves.
