Dec 1, 200916 yr Expert As one CNA put it one time, "I move from room to room through the bathroom doors so that no one ever sees me or knows where I am!" and the other observation, "Yes, they always know when to call out sick!".
Dec 1, 200916 yr Author I have to thank my floor nurses and aides today. They were fabulous and helped me with the stuff I didn't know about the residents, which was just about everything. The numbers the computer kicks out re: psych drugs, UTIs etc bear no relation to reality. This will NOT happen to me again. I told the DON that as soon as they leave I am setting us up a spreadsheet with all the numbers they want on it. I wasn't a programmer for nuthin'. It'll take me NO time to keep it current and I will never have to stand there like a deer in the headlights again.Nuh uh.
Dec 1, 200916 yr After reading many of your posts (enjoyable I might add) I think you got this one under control. Good luck! We are expecting "them" anytime now...
Dec 1, 200916 yr The numbers the computer kicks out re: psych drugs, UTIs etc bear no relation to reality. By the way, did you mean the QI report? No program to track these numbers??!! Eeek! Get together with your MDS nurse and DON!

Dec 2, 200916 yr When I worked during the week and state would show up, I always made myself busy in the labor rooms. Inspectors don't like coming into the labor area for some reason...LOL
