Feb 25, 201610 yr We have a snow day here in northern Indiana. While I'm glad for the chance to get some things done here at home I've been neglecting, I'm finding myself worrying about some of my kids. Are they home alone? Are they eating? Sigh.
Feb 25, 201610 yr You are bettern me. I don't worry about them when I have a snow day. I hear you guys got walloped. Be careful!
Feb 25, 201610 yr LOVE a snow day. But due to our very odd winter, not one this year!We had 1. This is great though, because now we get the Friday before Memorial Day off.I can deal with 1-2. Last year was ridiculous. And the year Sandy hit? We lost our February break.
Feb 25, 201610 yr Oh, that's right! You had to deal with Sandy. I have lived here my whole life and we always get at least one snow day. Right now we have NO snow, and it feels like spring. As you know, last year we were buried!
Feb 25, 201610 yr We had a snow day yesterday, more because of freezing rain concerns than snow accumulation. Today it's 50 + degrees out and pouring. This has been such a weird winter.Oh- and I like snow days. But not too many.
Feb 25, 201610 yr No snow days this year:( I do worry about my "kids" when I out of the office. I tend to text my sub at least once to check on my diabetics.
Feb 25, 201610 yr We have three this year, perfect number. Love my summers off, so don't want to eat into that too much. One month until spring break, I can handle that.
Feb 25, 201610 yr We have had none this year. The snow that was predicted missed most of Chicagoland. An unexpected day off sounds nice, but so does getting out on May 20th.
Feb 25, 201610 yr Author We will probably have to make today up the Friday before spring break. That's not going to go over well. It it has been an odd winter. This is our first snow day. And we've only had a few two hour delays. Most of them were for fog.
Feb 25, 201610 yr We've only had one snow day which is pretty typical for us southerners. I'm thankful for that one but would have loved more. Trees are already blooming here so I don't expect anymore cold snowy days. But tomorrow is "Teacher Appreciation Day" where we got a 2 hour brunch with a sub from 10-12 and we get to go home at noon! YAY!
