We have three third grade classrooms. I have seen 14 of 18 kids from ONE TEACHER'S room. All temp checks. She's actually there, I called. And I've kept calling.

"Help me understand why you sent Little Darling to me?" Usually when I do that the teacher remembers back to the beginning of the year where I said I have no meds to give, let them put their head down after a drink of water...

We have a four-day break starting Friday. Come on, teacher!!!

I say just walk into the classroom and screen every student's temp ?

I have this happen when I have a kid from 2nd or 3rd grade go home with a fever. The teacher will send basically the entire class to be "checked". It may go on for days... The teacher will say "I don't want anyone else to be sick". I just roll my eyes and check them. I usually don't take the time to open an office note in the computer for each one if they all are coming from the same classroom. I'll just write their temp on a sticky note and send them back.

If she sends me one more I am going to do this!!! You're a genius.

I'm about to send an email to the teachers saying that I do not have allergy medication. I have had at least 30 students who have been very disappointed to be told that no I do not have claritin or zyrtec.

I actually did this to one of my kinder classes after the teacher texted me saying all of the kids in her class apparently played super hard at recess because the majority all had some sort of legitimate scrape. I went down there with a pocket of bandaids and went around to each table and asked the kiddos if they were broken. They giggled, some got bandaids, and others just needed a hug. Teacher thanked me for making "house calls" and said I was the best nurse ever, so I wasn't even mad about it ?

You are so much nicer than I will ever be!!! That is super sweet. I will say that I was in the hall and a K teacher asked me to stand in the classroom for three minutes so she could go to the bathroom.... I walked in and they immediately all decided I needed a hug.

If I get one more kid in here that is c/o being hot, I am going to explode!!!

Every one of them is wearing a thick hoodie and the building has been warm this week because - you got it, the weather is warming up and it is TEXAS!!!!!

Sheesh!!!

Haha my kinders are the same as well! I'll take all the hugs when I'm just a visitor in their class!
