Sharp Summer 2011 New Grad Program

Sweet, polevaultererin! I just got called for an interview at the Grossmont ED! Wednesday for me. Looks like the different hospitals are doing very different timelines. Good luck!

For those that applied to Sharp Memorial: They have chosen 100 candidates to have their applications reviewed by managers. Managers then choose 40 candidates to have phone interviews. We should hear back from them between April 25-May 5. They are interviewing roughly 3 people per day. If you make it past that cut, you are at the final 20. Those 20 will have Panel Interviews beginning the 2nd week of June. In the end, 11 people will be selected to the Residency program which begins July 25, 2011. Hope this helps!!

Wow so they're taking 11 people for Memorial. Does anyone know how many total for the entire program?

Has anyone heard from Sharp Grossmont's Behavioral Health Unit? I know they said you'd hear by the end of April..just curious if anyone has already! Thanks! :)

The phone interviews for Sharp Memorial are being conducted by the nurse recruiter at SMH. It's crazy only 11 are selected!!

That's what I was thinking (about the recruiter). She screened the applicants first during the last program opening. It's going to be like winning the lottery for those 11 chosen.

No kidding! I talked to the recruiter for a while yesterday and the program seems like a wonderful experience though. 200 hours PCU, 200 hours med/surg. Rotations with OT/PT/ER, etc. You get to see everything. Keep your fingers crossed!

Hi! It was Mary Birch! A few a of my friends are still waiting to hear back from Chula as well. It's funny.....my choices were Mary Birch and Chula L & D, and I was only asked to interview for MB. Did you happen to interview with both?

I only applied at Sharp CV - L&D and Postpartum and my interview was for both positions. I heard that they will be calling all applicants who were interviewed either tomorrow or Friday to let them know if they will be hired or not.... hopefully I get the good news...

Has anyone heard from Mary Birch for NICU starting in September? Sorry if I missed this on the threads.

FYI- My friend had an interview for Sharp Mary Birch's NICU a few days ago. So looks like they are starting to interview people for that unit!
