For those who applied to Sharps summer 2011 program

has anyone heard anything yet?

I haven't heard anything yet. Did you?

I have yet to hear anything either.

I applied too, but I already know I don't have a chance :crying2:. I only have an associate and no previous experience. They probably received hundreds of applications.......sorry to be so negative, I've been looking for a job for a while with no luck and today I feel really down.:crying2:

Anyway good luck to all!!!!!

Daniela

Hello, I applied as well. We probably will not hear anything for about a month to a month and a half. The applications have not even closed yet and they will have at least a thousand applicants to go through.

Daniela -- I have an associates also but there is always a chance of getting hired. Just try and stay positive ... that's all we can really do :-) Some of my friends got hired at Sharp and they only have an associates... So don't get discouraged! Our time will come ;-)

Good luck to everyone!

Good luck y'all. I have friends that are going through ADN school and I think they're one of the most knowledgeable students! You guys are also so good at hands on skills. Keep it up guys. Hospitals will see that. -from a BSN student:yeah:

I am going for my adn as well. We just have to keep our heads up.

Thank you for your words!!!!:redbeathe

It just really hard to keep my head up in this market. I don't know how many rejections I received from all the places I applied to. I try to stay positive that something will come up and my dream to be a real RN will come true. But some days are worse than others and I get depressed.

I started applying to jobs all over the US, let's hope for the best, if not I'll go back to my old non nursing job.

I also applied, but don't think we will hear anything for at least another month..... fingers crossed here!

i dont want to seem too crazy but i didnt get an email saying my profile was received...did u guys get the email?

They aren't sending emails this time to confirm that the portfolios are received. I guess because of the volume of applicants.

I finished both the app and the supplemental form on the first day, but still didn't receive any confirmation email or anything yet either... Good luck to everyone!
