I think last year the school received close to 150 applications. As for the division of seats between specialties, I don't think they are even. For example, one specialty had three seats filled, while another had five.

@master641215 thank you! I'm actually surprised that number is so low. I thought it would be much higher considering USF receives somewhere around 400-500 applications

No problem, kimicoso! I don't know why the applicant pool is so low. Whatever it may be, I think it's one of the best kept secrets of San Francisco! More reason to hope for admittance this round!

This feels like a stupid question, but I was wondering if there is an interview for the ELMSN program. I have been assuming that there is one, but I would like to know for sure. Thanks!

There are no stupid questions. I asked the same earlier in the thread and master641215 replied that there are no interviews. So, guess we just wait and hear back, soon I hope!

Does anyone have any update to his/her application status on SFSU Gateway? I've logged on to the Student Center and I can that I've applied to SFSU, but no status. Is this the same for everyone, or am I jumping the gun because it's already April?

Hey master641215, I too log into the Gateway (per the e-mail directions), but there is no updates as of yet. All I ever see is the Student Center information.

??? I also have checked NursingCAS, but not sure we'll see an update there... But??

Hey, I think in previous threads SFSU updated admission statuses towards the end of April... I wish the school would send us an email when they have posted admission statuses. But it doesn't seem like they do. I don't think we would see our admission status posted on NursingCAS since its SFSU's decision and they use CAS as a third party sort of thing if that makes any sense.

Thanks for the insight, kimicoso and eabaunza! I would have thought the status would at least say "Pending" until decisions were made. Oh well..

Hey y'all!

I've been seeing admissions dates mention something about towards the end of April but the nursing school said they were going to start letting people know starting next week since classes are available the week after. Registration would also happen later this month too.

That's much sooner than anticipated! Hopefully we do hear by next week.

Will both transfer student and current SFSU students be notified at the same time? Because I am a transfer student.
