That's was great!

There is contest going on with pinkgloves/co/128.

Lots of hospitals , surgery centers etc sent videos in and the winning video will be awarded a $10,000 prize to be donated to breast cancer. Everyone take a look, there are many entries from hospitals around the US. My state had 4 entries. See if your hospital is listed.

Really cute and funny! It appears to be a nice, supportive place to work.

Hourly rounding is such a good idea, I wish it could realistically be implemented in more places like rehab/LTC (there's no way I can hourly round on 20 or more people...).

Specializes in Trauma Surgery, Nursing Management.

So how can I get this job? I wanna be the Rounding Queen too!!!

Very cute!

I could only watch about 20 seconds.

I just don't even know what to say.

And we complain we aren't treated as the professionals that we believe we are ...

It's cute, but it seems to me it portrays nurses as someone who only checks for pain, potty and position. Oh, and someone who takes out the trash if it's full. :-(

It seems to me they're seeking positive publicity after the fatal fiasco last summer. Remember the crash in the parking garage where police had to call 911 because the ER staff would not triage resulting in the death of a cardiac pt? This is a "certified chest pain center" too.

I'm really not sure what the point is but it seems like a big waste of money to me.

DookieMeister, I didn't connect the two until you reminded me.

To my great regret, I went back and watched 1:20 of the video. Oy. Bedpans on heads, and actual use of the word "potty" in what you correctly point out was probably designed as a public relations piece.

Continued nonsense from the hospital system that didn't understand that EMTALA means that yes, you should treat the patient having the MI in your parking garage ...

And of course they were cleared of any wrong-doing. I almost went to work there before that situation happened and after seeing this video I'm so happy I didn't!
