what do you mean by "with the lawyer"? did you apply that online? my lawyer said i have to have it done myself; he does not touch that. i am still waiting for my school to have my transcript ready and the i still needs to send my license verification out. don't think the visa screen will be ready any time soon.

You need to apply for visa screen but no reason once you have it that the lawyer does not keep it.

Now, retrogression started. How long this will stay? In my case, I 140 will be submitted next week only. How long I may have to wait? Pls help.

Is there anyone here knew about the Approved Immigration Bill w/c removes visa cap on foreign nurses, this was approved by the senate last May 2006, Is there any update if this needs to sign by the Pres. Bush or was it already signed into law?

The Comprehensive Immigration Bill (where the visa cap removal provision is a part of) that was approved by the Senate was just that; it was just approved by the Senate but it wasn't approved by the Lower House.

Both Houses should agree on it first (A "Compromised Bill") before it is handed over the Pres. for signing. It was stopped dead on it's track because of the U.S. Nov. mid-term elections and would have to wait after the elections. Most prob. early next year or the latest would be mid-next year.

I mean i alredy have my Visa screen and submitted it already with the lawyer.. coz i applied for it at the same time when i applied and took cgfns exam... after which i took nclex... please let me know what is the comment of your lawyer... are you in LA?

Retrogression for EX visas (Schedule A) will occur in November.

We think that there is about a 1/3 chance of the retrogression being cured in November or early December.
