Remember me? I Got Accepted!

Greetings All,

I just wanted to share the good news with everyone. Some of you may not recall, but I had applied to my college's Division of Nursing in July 2010. A few months later I found out that I needed to take my SAT's before my application would be considered for review. Mind you, I graduated high school in 1998. So, I registered for the SATs and took it on November 6th. I didn't do exceptionally well, but I scored well above the required score.

Fast forward--I received my acceptance letter 2 weeks prior to the start of the current semester (January 10th). I almost didn't open the envelope. I thought it was an financial aid award summary. So, I just threw the envelope on the table and didn't open it until later the next night. Mind you, I had already registered for classes under my previous majors curriculum.

So, around 7:30-8pm the next night, I decided to open it and I was shocked to read, "Congratulations! Your request for transfer into the Division of Nursing has been accepted...":yeah::thankya:So, needless to say, I had to log in to make some changes/additions to my course schedule.

Unfortunately, they have a new curriculum, so, I have to take some prerequisite classes (8 total) before I can start taking NURS course. I have 6 more prerequisites to take. I'm currently taking A&P I and Speech. I'm limited to the classes I can take right now. My husband is in Afghanistan and we have three children. It's hard enough getting home every MWF after 8pm (YES, 8PM) Thank God for my babysitter. Without her willingness to watch my children after normal business hours, I wouldn't be able to go to school this semester. The classes at my college fills up quickly. Once they are filled, That's IT! You're, in essence, SOL (**** out of Luck!)

That's it! I just wanted to share my good news!

Congratulations!:yeah:

*My school is the same way. I had to learn the hard way that some classes (namely AP)start to fill up the next day after they open.
