I am feeling the same too I took mine on Oct 4 from CA I dont know how long will it take to get the result some says in 3 days until now I have not seen my name on their website nor got anything from the mail if I failed I called them the other and they said that they have not got my result I stopped at 75 I might have failed nothing on the mail and nothing on their website what doyou think happened

go to the website of BRN CA you can retrieve the forms you need plus all the important information that you need to know about the whole process. Just enter BRN and that will lead also to make a choice which state you would want to go in. If you dont have a personal computer go to any of the internet cafes at diff. SM malls its very easy to retrieve those docs onine. You just need to be patient and resourceful in keep on browsing until you get the right spot

I am not sure how long you've been with the organization. How is your annual performance review in this unit? If its favorable then you should have nothing to worry even applying outside if they verify your employment as well as inside there are only certain information that the HR are allowed to disclosed on employment verification issues and if you are doing good with that company you should be proud to tell them go ahead verify my employment it has been also a practice of most companies that an employee are not rectricted in applying to another department within the organization but there are certain requirements/standards to follow depending of what is their policy on transferring to another department. Assuming you adhere to those requirements and you are qualified for that position and you are a good employee dont be afraid. Your supervisor or your Manager is expected that they will be informed and asked how is your performance in that unit by the receiving department before they will make any decision in addition to other factors considered. What was the reason behind why they are not granting your request? They might have a good reason behind why they are denying you as much as you do.Is it reasonable as well as yours? Please be informed that calling them will not speed up the processing time of your eligibility status it has always been clearly stated even in their recording messages and in the forms that you can retrieve from BRN CA that you can only call after 4 to 6 weeks from the date you submitted the docs to know the status of your application whether its approved or pending for approval or not. I am here in the Phil right now I did call after 6 weeks and was informed that it has been approved then I registered with Pearson and in 24 hrs I got my ATT via email. I send all my docs to them before via federal express my school gave me an option if I want all the docs to be send by them also via fed ex.

I just graduated BSN in the Phil on 4/07

I graduated May and send all the paperworks on May also got the approval from CA BRN after 5 weeks then I called and registered with Pearson in 24 hrs I got my ATT via email. I did not register with Pearson not until I got my letter of approval to take the test from CA BRN and I did it all from the Phil. which I am still here should be in CA by next month I am a resident also of CA. I am not sure the flow of processing let me share with you mine i 1) graduated 5/07 send my app to CA BRN same 5/3 2) I got my notice of approval from BRN CA in 6 weeks then 3) I called Peason to register for the exam (RN) 4) In 24 hrs I got my ATT via email from the time I called to register.

I suggest that if there are issues like that with our co-workers I think it should not be our concern or business to dig, to say and ruled out anything about it unless you are in their Human Resources department or you are in position to do such investigations or concern. Other than that as an employee we should focus instead on our respective areas of responsibility. I am sure good things prevails if they are really doing such things eventually it will get them.

I am a new (BSN) grad also with new license I have no work experience as a nurse yet although I had 9 years HR work experience in the management level. I lived and have a house in Fremont and a new BSN grad with new license I have not applied anywhere yet where do I start? do I have to go to an employment agencies first or apply directly to the hospitals? You are right if its not written it did not happen unfortunately this is not always the case as you said I think its imperative that during the shift change or endorsement to be safe from liability we have to be alert and document the status of the patient when we received everything if we could

please be informed that Lanting is not located in Novaliches its in Tandang Sora its far from Novaliches. In terms of applying to work in CA whether Lanting is a better school it depends more on yourself as a student to do your responsibility I came here to study nursing from US and graduating on Tuesday from Lanting this is my second course. Its worth it but its not an easy journey for me whether I graduated from Lanting or from UST or any prestigous school of nursing you have here that does not make any difference because it will depend on you mainly how you make it. I dont mean to be rude but I think the problem is you not of the school you need to study harder if you you really want to have a degree its not good to be transferring from another school to another one just because you did not make it from that school. What good will it do it you dont help your self to improve you have to be responsible to do your part as a student otherwise go back to the states and do odd jobs or take some short courses if that is what you are capable of.

i am also from northern california (us citizen) and came here in the phil on 2004 to study nursing i enrolled in oct 2004 and its our graduation on april 3, 2007. i am now preparing to take my nclex over there be back there after my graduation on tuesday. its not an easy journey considering the big difference of the environment and facilities that we have over there but if you are really determined that should not be an obstacle you cant be sosyi sosyi here especially on your clinical duties you have to have the flexiblity, self discipline, be humble, and endure what it takes to meet your goal. everything was fine i have no problem its worth it. i've work there in the bank for 10 years and with my savings i used it wisely to support my nursing here. my first degree was major in economics. with my working experience in the management level over there regardless whether i am a foreign graduate i strongly believe that i can make it. tagalog is in violation of the tos of this forum. english only please.

Hi there are you allowed to take the local board in the Phil even if you are not a filipino citizen? I am graduating this March I am a balikbayan came hre to take nursing actually its not required that I have to take the board as long as I have my diploma when I go back to CA. Thanks

Yes you are right if you are a citizen you are not mandated to stay for another 2 years after completion of the course I know there is a pending bill on that issue and I think this is applicable to the non immigrant. I am from California and came here in the Philippines to study nursing Ihave 8 years of work in the Human resources management level in CA and wrk at Kaiser and I am graduating this march 2007 all I need is my diploma as per instruction at CA BRN website. I think when I am finish I will incorporate my nursing with my HR expertise over there. I enjoyed my stay in the Phil I love it never had any hazzles thanks God. The school was fine we got a lot of clinical exposure first hand especially on DR and PEDIA I go home every sem break at CA the only thing that I missed here is I cant drive here in the Phil its a terrible place to drive and most of the drivers are so unruly I also missed my favorite food place which is the FRESH CHOICE but there are many things also that you can enjoy in this country most of the people are nice as well as the Clinical instructors I am second courser actually this is my 3rd course now and many of my subjects was credited

if you are in the phil and a student nurse been in several rotation of duty at diff hospitals given the chance to interact with the staff nurse that works there as well pts from all walks of life that should answer your questions but make sure to have the exposure not only on hospital for the rich and famous but also for the poor if you want to get the real thing.

Hi ruby I am not sure what is your status immig/US cit/working visa? coz you need SS# and diploma is enough. Whatever lic you have locally in the Phil is not necc. Go to BRN website of CA you can get detailed specific info about your questions. Actually it will take 4 to 6 mos depending where the documents required is coming from. It takes longer if its outside the country It does not take that long either to get the results of the exam

It took me 4 years to complete my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and I am graduating this sem. What is the difference of RN and BSN and in relation to looking for a job? thanks
