I did well making a form of a concept map for all my disease processes. Example of mine would be name at the top with a short explanation of what it is. Next would be assessment findings, the how it would be diagnosed (what test or procedures would be done), then interventions. I would hand write them with lots of color because I'm a visual learner. This would help me to be able to see them in my mind when I need to recall things.

I didn't finish the question bank. Like the other person posted, it really help me understand how to answer questions. The rationals were amazing and I was able to learn so much from them. Thinks that I keep getting wrong I would write down notes and review them. The nclex look identical to the screen set up of uworld, down to the color. But uworld questions are way more detailed and harder then the nclex was. In my opinion.

Probably not. You will get a date probably towards the middle of fall semester. It will probably be held in December.

Ya I guess you can look at it that way but stats is not an easy class.

If you take Stat with the CC you may just have to take an elective with your university later. I had the choice to take stat with ASU or with Rio. I took it with Rio online to get it done and not pay to take it at ASU but now I am taking an upper level elective. You will do another background check and the Cc will tell you more about it right before your orientation or at orientation.

The school will send you an email with this information. Usually not until a few weeks before the semester starts.

It's very competitive I've hear/read from this site. You would have a better chance if you started taking classes at ASU now. They take their students over transfer students.

Yes, I'm just unsure about having to re apply to CEP if you don't make it. I don't see why you would have to re apply if you have already been accepted by a university unless you wanted to change your university. There is a Facebook group called Maricopa Nursing that you may be able to find some answers too from other students that have gone through it.

Exactly what the other person said. It's not random, but it's not simple either. That's why I think it's better to have three choices instead of one. You open up your chances of getting place much faster then with just one campus. Each campus works differently but I haven't heard anything really bad about any the entire time I've been a student here. Wish I could explain better how they place people but it's hard to in writing lol. Hope this was helpful.

Never took Chem online or in AZ for that matter but if you do retake I suggest using rate my professor to find out about the teacher you may have before sign up for their class. (not all teacher are on that site)

I just wanted to clear up that when applying at the CC for CEP people aren't getting denied or not making the program. They just aren't getting a spot in the go. Applicants get a time stamp and it comes down to who's number is up and if one of the three schools they have listed has a spot for them. If not then they have to wait for the next round. As for online classes I personally loved them and as long as you are organized and on top of your due dates they aren't difficulty. I am a block 4 GCC evening/ASU student. I love ASU. I will graduate well under $20,000 in debt. My pell grant covered a lot and there is always plent of opportunity to apply to scholarships to help reduce cost. For more information about the CC I suggest going to a campus and talking with an advisor. There are also a few different Facebook groups for Maricopa nursing you can alway ask questions there. Med surg success book for practice questions and Saunders comprehension review book is really good tool to use when studying for med surg.

I highly suggest the NCLEX mastery app worth the money for sure. Any of the Success books (fundamental and med surg). I started to us the Saunders book at the end of my second semester and wish I had it from the beginning for sure.

this is an issue you will run into with all schools. You must have the drive to study and try different ways of studying if what your doing isn't working for you. my two cents is go with PC so you don't have to wait another semester because there is no way of knowing you will get a different school next time. If you don't like it after block 1 you can try and transfer to a different campus. I have heard that it may be hard to do but is an option. Good luck!

For me micro was all about memorization. I recommend using quizlet or flash cards.
