  1. Welcome back!
  2. I have those days too.
  3. You must get a lawyer. I would not spend one more moment pondering, what if this, what if that. Bottom line. You know the truth. Don't doubt yourself.
  4. Never give up hope. It usually takes time to find someone to give you a chance. Always go in with a positive attitude. Know that you are strong in your recovery. A positive attitude and persistence is important. Best of luck!
  5. This to shall pass. I promise you both that life will get better. Keep being honest with yourself and those you love. In 6 months you will look back and see how strong you are.
  6. I have nothing positive to tell you about IPN. I have no idea how an attorney can help. You would need to contact them. Some attorneys advise you call them before contacting IPN. I can tell you how it will go without an attorney. You go to the evaluation. The evaluator will make a recommendation to IPN regarding your "sentence." IPN will give you a contract. Should you refuse the contract, they will notify the BON. As the BON is already involved, they will want to know that you are compliant with IPN. It is gonna cost a lot of money. With or without an attorney.
  7. You do not have to ask for permission for the surgery. As your other questions. I don't know. I hope your procedure is uneventful.
  8. UF health jax hires LPN in some departments. Check St Vincents job site too. Some mental health facilities hire LPNs. Even if the job says experience required, it can not hurt to apply. Best of luck in your search.
  9. I switched to days 6 months ago after 10 years on nights. My family life has greatly improved, which is what is important. My work life is hell. I love my patients. The families and loved ones of my patients are soul sucking. This last week has been a true test of my professionalism.
  10. I did ask at Labcorp. The tech said she didn't know. She did comment that "everybody" was asking about and complaining about the cost.
  11. Great. More money I don't have.
  12. Slow down. Take a breath. First of all, why are you being required to have an evaluation? How did you get involved with IPN?
  13. Yes. ICU does change how you view life.
