TPAPN...ETOH and other questions
Take a breath just read your contract and follow it to the letter once you sign there is a time frame which you have to set up with Recovery Trek. I always did the be safe not sorry rule bought my own hand sanitizer changed mouth wash etc. as for travel there is a form for travel request do everything online there is a way on Recovery Trek to email your CM monthly reports much better than phone tag and you have a paper trail do not miss a call in or a paperwork deadline I didn't know will not fly as for OTC meds you can print off a Tabor's handbook it tells you what you can and can not take. Just do one day at a time and you will make it

TPAPN Advice
If it's a nursing job you could be found not in compliance with the program. They are very big on follow the rules. But take heart go to the eval start whatever treatment they recommend if it's outpatient treatment you can ask for a release to return to work within a couple weeks as long is everything is good Texas does not have a long period of time off once in treatment they can release you to work not like some states that have mandatory 12-18 months you can't work.

Pending TPAPN Nurse
The best attitude is keep copies of everything thing, do all paperwork early or on time , I didn't know is not ever going to be the right answer. That being said keep your head down and do the work and you will survive ,if your in the right say so but you will say many times This Is Soooo Unfair but guess what life is not fair. If you use the online forms on Recovery Trek that will be your paper trail I even sent messages about any phone calls confirming content of conversation through there so they could be referenced at a click of a mouse I am old school and this did not come second nature to me but it saved my butt more than once. You can sent messages 24-7 instead of playing phone tag and it time stamps it to support you in I contacted program as soon as I could this comes in handy if you have say a medical emergency or job offer/issues ,no I waited till Monday or after holiday to contact anyone, also if one CM says one thing and another says something else it will come down to did you get that in writing because we all know if it's not charted it did not happen. You have no say in who is your case manager just like you had no choice who was you teacher in nursing school work with what you got they are not lifelong friends their purpose is to see you follow the rules , keep you on course and yes fearful enough to keep on track until it becomes like breathing. They are not going to help you find a job either just approve or not approve a job you fined, your Advocate might have some pearls of wisdom about jobs maybe not Good Luck and if you fall down get back up

What to expect during assessment for TPAPN
Someone who repeatedly tries substances "to see how they feel" is heading down a very dangerous road and does not think that's a problem well sounds a little like for want of a better word an addict in training but that's my opinion.

What to expect during assessment for TPAPN
They will do interview just be honest and your right if you keep saying I don't have a problem they will say your in denial, then most places do a ASI It ask you lots of questions but a lot of them are the same ask another way these questions are about what you think is right or wrong what's a problem or not, what's too much or "normal" Just answer what you really think if you try to play games or beat the test you just hurt yourself.Try to avoid clinics that only offer inpatient or that's what they will recommend you probably won't be able to avoid the min. 6 week Outpt. Good luck.

Tpapn hair follicle testing
When I signed my original contract several years ago it stated urine and blood but I have read the new contracts they have updated with the 3 year limit not 2 and there are several changes and it says something like any type of speciem can be requested so read your contract that's where you will get the answer or ask your case manager.

What's the benefit of self reporting to tpapn?
If it was diversion, impaired at work, positive test thing like that you they will report. Now the benefits of self reporting are the BON sees you take ownership of the problem and the plan to fix it and also you could be waiting for the ax to fall for a week ,month ,year or you can report do your work up start meetings and get started in recovery do your time and be done with it your choice.
