Oncology job opportunity vs pregnancy
Ooops sorry!! It's a grammar error. I am still trying to improve my English. I am not perfect and no one is perfect. However, I know that there's always a room for improvement. It's my third language, so I have to learn it the hard way. I'll try harder next time and thanks for the ADVICE. Haha

Need RN's opinion- BIG clinical mistake
Size of cuff can really alter the BP result. It should always snug the patient's arm properly. Taking BP manually when results are doubtful is the next option. Yes, the patient could have been harmed if her BP happened to be low.. Like what others said, there was no harm done, so you should be fine. You might get some words from your instructor, but really he/she should have been there to check the patient too. Did you tell your instructor that you took the BP from your pt's forearm???

Oncology job opportunity vs pregnancy
I don't know what the job requires a new grad like me to do yet.. I have read couple of forums saying that working in oncology floor is fine as long as internal radiations are avoided and proper protective gears are worn. I also agree with the fact that the biggest issue might be me taking a leave soon after the orientation is over. I have an interview on Monday and I will just address it to the interviewer just to be on the safe side. If I don't get the job, oh well, there's more job coming. If I do, that will be great too.. But we'll see. Thank you guys for the advices! I'll post updates after my interview..

Oncology job opportunity vs pregnancy
I am 2 months pregnant and have been applying for couple of jobs for the past 2 months. For the first time (EVER) I got a call for an interview, BUT it is for oncology unit. I know that there are things that a pregnant woman should avoid like radiation/radioactive patients.. I am debating myself if I should push for the job or just decline it because of my pregnancy.. Should I tell the HR that I am pregnant during the interview or after I get hired?? Has anyone experienced this or knew someone who went through this situation?? I need advices please???

Why do you like being a nurse?
Hi..
-
To take Micro or not??...
Take micro!! It's better to take micro now with math, than taking micro with a nursing class.. That's just my opinion though.. It's still up to you.. :)

multiple pre req fails. should i still apply?
It depends on what GPA and other requirements your school requires to enter the Nursing Program.. Did you get help from your teachers/tutors/classmates to make a better understanding of your Chemistry and Nutrition class? Really and truly, chemistry is just like math.. It takes practice to pass it.. While nutrition takes memorization here and there.. Nursing program is a lot tougher than pre-reqs though.. However, to some people it is the exact opposite..

Three strikes! i hope i passed this time around..
Having a handful of SATA questions sounds like you should have passed. However, PVT really worked for me and for my classmates who also did it.. I hope this time PVT is wrong.. If ever, try using Pearson Reviews and Rationales book/online course.. Good luck buddy!
