  1. Hey! I've been told that if the Blood pressure is lower on one arm than the other and the patient is otherwise well, there is probably a circulatory problem in the arm with the lower BP so the arm that more accurately reflects the ''body's'' BP is the one with the higher blood pressure. So i would give the meds based on the higher BP
  2. what are you, the thread police? i think the OP was asking advice from nurses, not pre nursing students:yes:
  3. i agree with amnesty. if they take these meds long term they'll probably not make much difference on the HR. Depends on the doses as well i suppose, if they are on a starting dose of cardedilol again it wouldn't affect HR that much. But to be on the safe side i would contact the MD
  4. we give "punctured" adalat all the time in my ICU:p
  5. so let me guess your specialty... pediatrics?
  6. hmmm i wonder what his O2 were before... i don't know, FiO2 50% for a patient with pneumonia seems low to me.
  7. maybe by bagging you are also trying to remove any mucus plugs causing the desaturation?
  8. i'm currently working in icu but i'd like to work a year or two in ER, another one in endocrinology, maybe a year in pulmonary care...

  12. i've checked with the nmc information for eu applicants file and my qualification is automatically recognized so i don't think experience is needed. I'll send them an email though to make sure, thank you. Is my cv ok or maybe too simple?
