to sunshine999 - that's the spirit! you;re doing the right way by not rescheduling it. when i had my exam a long time ago, local nursing license in thailand, i wanted to reschedule my exam because i was so scared that i almost broke my water bag because i was pregnant. but then i just face my fear and took it. since i was a basketball athlete in college i always believed the saying of nike "just do it!". i passed the exam and now i have a 7 year old daughter plus another kid :) believe in yourself! you can do it! i applied to florida bon. when are you planning to write the exam? what study materials are you using & how do you study?

don't lose hope. i graduated 8 years ago, i had been working as a nurse for 3 years in a nursing home and clinic then no work for 5 years because i do not have license to work in the US as a nurse and my husband and kids are keeping me away from working as a nurse and study for nclex-rn. since i sent my kids to my mom for a year or two, i have this opportunity to study for nclex-rn. it is a big sacrifice on our part (i miss them so much :[ ). so i think for now, don't worry about having no job for the moment. concentrate to your nclex-rn because it's near you only have 1.5 mos left and once u passed it, job opportunities will knock on your door. LICENSE = KEY to finding a well paying JOB :) btw, you're lucky because you will be writing the nclex on september. while me, i just applied and still waiting for eligibility. so nervous because this is the first time that i will take the exam (if found eligiible, crossing fingers). i feel for you.. i was in your shoes a long time ago (7 years ago). i was on duty & very stressed out when i had my needlestick injury. worst part i couldn't trace the patient's name because it was a random needle (i was disposing needles that time and because i was so stressed and tired i mismanaged to dispose them properly). i got so scared and paranoid and it was like killing me softly mentally and emotionally. what i did, i just prayed so hard, told my husband and parents about it and hid it from others (less stress on my part) and after 6 mos., i got myself tested for HIV and HEP. C and luckily, the result was NEGATIVE. i went to the church and thank God for giving me a second life. i continued to have myself tested for 5 years then i stopped because i was satisfied with the result. the lesson, regardless im tired, i should not be in a hurry and always focused. on your part, i will pray for you that the result will be negative.

hi athletes. i just submitted my application to the BON and hopefully i will be eligible to write the nclex-rn. they said, it will take 6-8 mos to get the result. if found eligible, i will be writing the exam on march 2011. i hope it's ok with you guys... i graduated 8 years ago. i want to join you so i will have this drive to study. i need a group so i will not be alone studying i have saunders 4th ed. and kaplan. i'll start reading saunders now. i hope i could find study partner/s here. please keep on posting your progress and continue to give motivational advices. thank you and to all september / october takers, God bless you!
