  1. One week left in NR506, very doable the best advice I can give for this class is to keep ahead on the reading and try to start assignments as soon as sunday rolls around. On the first assignment I was sick with the flu virus, which put me way behind. Overall the learning environment was great!! Next class NR503 Population Health, Epidemiology & Statistical Principles
  2. Best wishes! See you in class
  3. Best wishes to you in your first class!!
  4. Hello Cowgrlnurse & LeeAnn245, I will be joining you best wishes and hope to see you in forum.
  5. Congrats on your acceptance, will be taking NR503 in Jan what's your first class?
  6. I took Community Health and actually enjoyed the class:yeah: Not sure what Collaborative Health will be like but Community Health is a very doable class. Congrats on the new baby.
  7. @Her Own Catalyst RN, thanks for the insight I have adjusted my work schedule (cut my hrs) to accommodate the two classes (Romen Noodles for few months) Since trauma call is always ups for grabs prayerfully I will be able to capitalize on that in the event of an emergency:) My hubby is supportive of the temporary income cut today:yeah: not sure about later. Like you said a delicate balance. Thanks again I will more that likely if you don't mind ask for guidance/support from time to time:)
  8. @Her Own Catalyst RN, thank you for the insight :) session A I will take NR443 & SOCS350 followed by Session B with NR447 & ECON312. Not sure which emotion to show but I will take it one day at a time.
  9. @ Her Own Catalys Kudos for pressing forward in you ECON class. What would you say has made this particular class the most challenging and what advise would you give for those (like myself) who will take this class at some point? Thanks
  10. Best wishes very nice facility, I took my CPNE their 8yrs ago.
  11. BetterMeRn hello, I too will start on Oct 24th and can't wait. I originally started in another online program, but that turned out not to be a good fit for me. I also agree that the advisors have been informative and available unlike my previous experience. Best wishes!!!
  12. good luck and thanks for the spread sheet:up: i feel like catching the lunah fever and researching myself. i was sheduled to start uop last year or so and life got in the way. so who knows maybe now is the time. thanks again
  13. Thanks for the spread sheet now I am getting the Luna fever
  14. do you by chance have a web site for this school?
  15. I have worked in the O.R 15years and have gone thru many types of shoes. #2 shoe would have to be the Super Burks #1 shoe after wearing these for 2 years would have to be MBTthese shoes have saved my feet 100 times over. I am a trauma nurse in the O.R so you know my puppies get action. The MBT are on the pricey but well worth the $200 + I paid for them. Happy shoe shopping.:balloons:
  16. Congrats, On your first scrub
  17. i used the format you down load to your computer. printed off all the questions and reviewed them. took the exam one time with only 75 questions. hope that helped
  18. I do not think you need a license just certification.
  19. hi blue_cheez, i have been in the o.r for many years and as a nurse i have found that 1. leaving me in the same room for cases is very important to me. i cannot stand being pop around after i have prepared my room :angryfire for the day. 2. leave me with the same tech all day do not keep switching my tech. 3. a manager that will stand behind her nurses and not be intimidated by spoiled surgeons. 4. flexability in schedule (ex days i want to work) 5. lunch is 5thly important charge nurse do not say you forgot me:nono: 6. even distribution of call. 7. and lastly respect. hope it all helps notice i did not day $$$$$$$$ because every one needs that, but in the o.r over time is always a:madface: with sooo much call the $$$ are easy to get.

i am not a resident of macon but wanted to put my 1 cent in try looking at the hospital job web page. that is usually a great way to find openings and a lot of the hospital have it now where you can apply online:mad:
  21. hi rosie, have you joined the yahoo cpne group for pointers? when i was preparing for my cpne i attended e.c.'s workshop ( if it is in you budget i highly recommend it). i turned my house into a mini hospital ward with my family as my patients and practiced practiced practiced. learn the ce's in and out and then control your stress. best wishes to you on your next cpne date. if i can help let me know...i am sure any old timers and recent grads (e.c. grads) on this board will be happy to help.
  22. Hi Brandon, Congrats on your Choice for Nsg. I am not from MO but have a penny to throw in. I would chech with the MO Nsg board to see where they stand with E.C. I am from the peach state and did not have a problem at all getting a job. Although I did have to set for the Nclex in another state and endorse into Ga...all in all everything has been peachy.:biggringi
  23. after i graduated passed the nclex and signed a contract for one year i was given $2,500.00 ea year for three years. this year was my last time getting it:no: i used the money to pay off my very abused credit card:yeahthat: now i will enter into a new debt bka teenagers.
  24. Just looking for other nursing web pages and was directed to this one. I really enjoy and love this site.
