  1. ipod touch applications for clinical

That's not true. If you don't renew your Skyscape software after a year, you still can use it, just won't be able to get any updates.
  2. This is my first semester in ADN program. We have 4 hours of lectures, 8 hours of labs/clinicals, plus 3 credit online pharm class. Next semester it will be 5 hours of lectures and12 hours of labs/clinicals next semester.

  4. is there an LPN to ADRN or BSN bridge in Buffalo area?

Have you checked ECC and GCC? They both have LPN to ADN bridge programs.
  5. medication administration checks

According to my handouts: 1) Checking the meds against the MAR after taking them out of the drawer. 2) After doing the calculations, before you pour the meds into the cup. 3) Before returning the medication bottle to the drawer and walking away from ...
  6. International version of books

I got an international edition of my A&P book from eBay, the only differences were a different cover and the price - only $84 comparing to $215 for a book from the college bookstore.
  7. Does the edition of a textbook really matter?

Our A&P I professor was fine with students using previous edition textbook. As she said, nothing had changed in human anatomy since last year...
  8. International Textbooks

My A&P book is an international edition. It is absolutely the same as the US edition, including access code to the site. The only differences were the pictures on the cover and the price!
  9. Can I do it??

Anatomy was fairly easy for me. All you have to do is just memorization :) If you have a good memory, Anatomy should not be too hard to study.
  10. Can I do it??

Don't worry, you will be fine. Your "problems" are not problems at all. 1. Your age is not a problem at all. There are many people in my NS who are in their 40s and 50. 2. I moved to the US less than 10 years ago, and I do have an accent. But I am n...
  11. Lunch?

Oh, I was about to ask the same question :) Also, I have another question. If you bring drinks from home, what is it, and what kind of container or cup or bottle do you use? I don't want to buy any unhealthy overpriced ice tea or soda from a vending...
  12. Buying Textbooks Online - CDs included?

Exactly :) I bought some of my books from Half.com, and if the description of the book said it would come with a CD, the book did come with a CD.

  14. Help us answer this question!

I would pick chicken. Peanut butter is too thick and too sweet, it sticks to your teeth and to your mouth. If there are any sores in your mouth, it is very very painful to eat a sticky food. So, I would say that chicken meat is a better choice.
  15. Help - How to approach science courses

In my school A&P has a prerequisite, you can't take A&P before you are done with bio. Also, it might be hard to learn anatomy and physiology if you are not familiar with the biology. The same is with chemistry, A&P requires you to have so...
  16. iTouch or Old School?

My school has the same requirement. We have to have a PDA (iPod preferred, but any other PDA is fine) with skyscape software installed.
  17. MCC nursing program waiting list

I was talking about Genesee Community College and Monroe Community College in NYS.
  18. MCC nursing program waiting list

As far as I know, the waiting list at GCC does not carry over. The same is about MCC too. Either you are accepted into these programs and start the following semester, or you have to apply again.
  19. A&P Textbook

Marieb. Human anatomy & Physiology, 8th edition.
  20. Accepted to NS? What was your GPA?

    I had 4.0
  21. Information/Registration Session

My letter says that the mandatory orientation session will be scheduled in June or July. I wish it was earlier, I hate waiting.
  22. I am starting late August, I got my acceptance letter a few days ago.
  23. Any day now!

I am in the same boat too! The deadline was Jan 15th, they suppose to start reviewing applicant files in the beginning of March, and people who are accepted will receive their letters by the mid of April. It is still the beginning of March, but I am ...
  24. As far as I know, GCC looks only at overall GPA. The higher your GPA is, the better your chances are.
  25. Chemistry and Biology in spring2010 = crazy??

I took both Chemistry and Biology this Fall, it was not hard. Chemistry was really easy, even the math part of the course
