I did their LPN-RN bridge also, loved it passed board with 75 questions no problem, I would not have done it any other way!!!!

Hi I have been where you guys were. I have info and did a ton of research about the Hesi bc of course where I went to school they did not have a review which is why a lot of people don't pass the first time. If anyone wants my info my IM name is the same as my email address and I will gladly send you my info, bc it is GOOD!! A good thing to know is that there are 4 versions of the tests. This is how it works where I went to school. V-1 exit practice hesi. V2 the 1st exit hesi, V-3 the redo, and then V-4 the last one you can take and then have to retake the last 4 wks of school inculding redoing a ton of preceptorship hours. I would go back to the hospital on a med surg or to a rehab hospital that is affiliated with a hospital with a strong name, not a nursing home, sub acute would be good too. Don't listen to what people think you should do. You know what you need to do so go for it. Don't let anyone take away the experience that you have it is valuable, and many will try to degrade it and the ones that do that you probablly know more than them. Good luck and take care of and listen to what your gut tells you.

take it one step at a time is my advise. LSN (where I went ) takes all of your transfers no matter how old they are. You can apply now which is what I would advise to do. LSN has more clinical hours in every speciality which hospitals hiring new GNs love. You can still go on and get your BSN later, LSNs credits are transferrable bc they are an affiliate of Webster University. I have a BS from 1998 they took all of my transfers. If you want to deal with no bull I would advise applying at LSN. You will get better hands on bc it is "just" (which is what a lot of people say that don't know a thing about it) a diploma program, whether if its LPN or RN which is what I also have and I feel I have been very prepared especially with the nursing shortage and not getting an orientation (the nurse I was supposed to orientate with never showed up) the very first day I worked as a nurse and I did just fine. They dont care if you have a BSN, ADN, ASN, or Diploma RN that is just labeling, only as long as you have passed NCLEX.

If you do go back look for a diploma program that has a bridge program mine was only 14 months.....the require less pre reqs

there may be a question on boards that asks the correct way to give an IM and if 90 degree angle is one of the answers pic that one

it comes with experience for one thing and you will learn over time that every one patient is different, different pain tolerance (anxiety increases pain remember that too) etc. When in doubt give it in the vastus lateralus and remember to do it at a 90 degree angle it is the meatiest part and you shouldn't hit a nerve. Glucagon is Im also and when used in emergencies I dont think about aspirating.
