  1. thank you thank you thank you. you read my mind, exactly what I have been looking for!:)
  2. Thanks for the links fathertod- I am actually willing to go anywhere to get my first year!! Good luck in Portland too, I am sure things will pan out for you soon.
  3. First, off, I apologize for being negative, gosh, it wasn't like me. I think no matter which route you take you will be happy. Associates seems to offer just as much for a new grad as a BSN (these times are an exception). Good luck to you, I am sure you will succeed and end up finding your new career a very rewarding and promising one.
  4. ok, then have fun in nursing. I still think its a poor career change, and yes, it is just a job no matter what you tell yourself.
  5. why would you consider nursing school now? there are no new grad positions, and there is not as much job security as people say. you should read some of the discussions by new grad nurses online. If you like what you do now, stick with it until this economy gets better
  6. I agree with Mom 2 boys..nothing is better than to just plain old study
  7. Just know the core material and you won't have any trouble
  8. I will also pray for you. You can do it!
  9. Of course..I am in an RN program now, and the CNA license really helped
  10. it is worth the debt..youhave made an investment for a lifetime.
  11. My school is using a predictor test to weed nursing students out..some are not being allowed to take the NCLEX because of these tests. It is totally unfair
  12. I worked and took my prereq's2 at atime. It took 2 years for me to finish ,but that's ok..Just keep plugging along!
  13. I think the Saunders and ther Kaplan are the best study guides Muffingirl
  14. I totally agree..Kaplan is the way to go...
  15. B.S. U. has an accelerated BSN program program provided you have a degree in another field
