100k in debt after school!?
I'm actually a 22 yr old LVN right now with no job and i still owe about 30 k for the lvn program. I want to continue my education to become an RN so I decided to go to West Coast University in Orange County. I took the entrance exam about 2 weeks ago and passed it and i actually have to go back tomorrow to talk to the financial aid/loan reps. As im filling out the paper work right now...i keep on thinking to myself.."is it worth being in debt with almost 100k?" The reps there make it sound so easy...they told me you'll be making about 70k a year and that loan should be no problem..but im still worried about the loan and how it will affect me later in life. another thing to think about is that its about 10 mins from my house, I'll be done in 18 months with an associates degree and i can start working as an RN. Your input about my current situation would be greatly appreciated. -Brian

what to do? CNA or LVN?
So heres the story...I'm an LVN but I dont have a job at the moment. Ive gotten job offers for an LVN position at a psych ward and senior nursing facility but Ive also gotten a job offer from a hospital but they dont have any LVN positions available at the moment so they said they would start me off as a CNA first until an LVN position opens up. So heres the sitution..the hospital said they would offer me tuition reimbursement since i want to continue my education to become and RN. The psych ward and senior nursing facility doesnt offer tuituion reimbursement but ill be working as an LVN. What should I do? Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Im an LVN...where to continue my education
So i just passed my NCLEX and now I'm officially and LVN. I want to continue my education to hopefully some day become a CRNA. As of right now..i still owe money for my LVN program. So my question is: do you think its worth going to westcoast university (orange county) and add another loan on top of the one i already owe. The benefit of going to westcoast is that I'll be an RN in a year and a half, but the downfall to that is that westcoast is approx. 60k. I was thinking bout going back to a community college but I feel like it will take quite awhile and they're making me do the assessment tests again since i havent been to a community college for almost 3 yrs already. so i would like your opinion on this to help me further make my decision. thank you in advance.
