If you contact the Ca BRN, all they can tell you is it's not an accredited program. Sounds like a huge gamble.

i was fine without one. however i would have used one, but decided against it after one of my clinical instructors threatened to kick one of the students out of the program for bringing one to clinical. clinical instructors...ugh. :icon_roll

Hmmm...this describes two clinical instructors I've had to a "T." Until nursing school, I was never aware of just how totally worthless a person could be at "teaching" (I use that term loosely). I guess I know now. lol.

with an unprofessional attitude like that, that nurse will one day be a clinical instructor. guaranteed 100%. also i agree with the female-dominated profession comment. lol.

Interesting. The program I was in taught us to report patient's age, race, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, family members, and BMs. I knew it! I knew my instructors (especially clinical) were worthless!!

if you will make things up, consider the more useful nanda diagnoses: for example, disturbed energy field or impaired religiosity.

i don't know the answer to your concerns. but the reality is, some clinical instructors literally go the whole term without teaching their students jack. i know from experience.

a year or 2, really? which school is that, i'd like to apply. is it in the u.s.? i always assumed length of school was pretty standard: nursing @ 2 yrs, medical (med school + residency) @ forever.
