  1. Agreed. These degenerates are wasting everybody's time. Instead of training nursing students to be good nurses, they are turning students off to the profession, wasting nursing school and hospital clinical spots, and importantly, they are needlessly ...
  2. I've seen it happen to students of all ages. They are unprofessional, through and through.
  3. Nightingale international garden grove ca

If you contact the Ca BRN, all they can tell you is it's not an accredited program. Sounds like a huge gamble.
  4. so much misuse of the word antisocial in here. conmen, murderers, and nursing instructors, especially clincial instructors, are antisocial. the behavior described in this thread is not. but anyway, how could you stand being a nurse if you don't like ...
  5. -that the horror stories about terrible instructors and instruction are true. "Surely they are exaggerations," I thought. Nope, they are not.
  6. i was fine without one. however i would have used one, but decided against it after one of my clinical instructors threatened to kick one of the students out of the program for bringing one to clinical. clinical instructors...ugh. :icon_roll
  7. Of course that is unprofessional. Wait...an unprofessional clinical instructor? Shocking.
  8. Hmmm...this describes two clinical instructors I've had to a "T." Until nursing school, I was never aware of just how totally worthless a person could be at "teaching" (I use that term loosely). I guess I know now. lol.
  9. with an unprofessional attitude like that, that nurse will one day be a clinical instructor. guaranteed 100%. also i agree with the female-dominated profession comment. lol.
  10. what did you find?
  11. PRE-NURSING CNA - beneficial or harmful

I don't see how it could be harmful. Benefits? Definitely overrated. Only real benefit would be if you wanted a CNA job or finding out that taking care of people isn't for you. Making beds, wiping butts, washing someone with a washcloth, etc. are th...
  12. meh, nursing education in general is a joke so who cares. also, no one compared wgu to any school. i find it odd that 1. you continue to speak harshly about facts that you totally make up and 2. that you are upset over this.
  13. oh i dont know...i find it hilarious that the one poster slammed the school not once, not twice, not even 3 times - but on 4 separate occasions (!!) - when the school's accreditation status is easily verifiable. like others have posted, wgu is region...
  14. the "dream" has come to an end

good luck. you need to do what's right for you. i'm going through something similar, by the way. i was nearly finished with my program, and i am not sure if i will return. i also considered pharmacy school, lol.
  15. Interesting. The program I was in taught us to report patient's age, race, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, family members, and BMs. I knew it! I knew my instructors (especially clinical) were worthless!!
  16. NANDA Diag.

if you will make things up, consider the more useful nanda diagnoses: for example, disturbed energy field or impaired religiosity.
  17. Wearing scrubs to nursing school?

it's mostly vocational schools that make you wear scrubs to class. however, i know of an adn program that makes their students wear scrubs to school
  18. sometimes clinical instructors are former nurses, some on the verge of losing their actual nursing jobs because of poor service to patients, who hated nursing and became a CI to get out. they were nasty to begin with, and nothing changed after making...
  19. Any idea what the cutoff GPA was for SD program?
  20. Is Everybody Moving to California?

    Fixed.
  21. I guess you should consider the information in the previous post. All I know off hand is that I once had a pt with glaucoma whose pupils were equal and round, but not reactive to light. My CI was with me while I was doing the assessment. When I broug...
  22. i don't know the answer to your concerns. but the reality is, some clinical instructors literally go the whole term without teaching their students jack. i know from experience.
  23. National University San Diego

is nursing only avail at RB campus? or is it just coincidence that you are all attend that one?
  24. Medical school vs Nursing School

a year or 2, really? which school is that, i'd like to apply. is it in the u.s.? i always assumed length of school was pretty standard: nursing @ 2 yrs, medical (med school + residency) @ forever.
  25. skirts required for community health clinical???

the male students must hate that policy.
