  1. They sign up patients to enroll them in a care management program
  2. An LPN was hired as an outreach specialist being supervised by Social workers.
  3. 350000 without power in CT and the main part of the storm is not here yet!!
  4. I am interested too maybe next time you are free. I need help badly because I have sent out 70 applications but still nothing I'm starting to think my resume may be to blame. TIA
  5. Do they hire RNs, I am a new grad RN with childcare experience non nursing and am desperately tring to get a job.
  6. Thanks. Both RN jobs pay more than my nanny job by themselves. I am actually away from home with the nanny job because I stay there for 3 days. Both RN jobs I would be communiting I don't have to stay overnight.
  7. I just recently graduated and have been working as a nanny. I just recently got a seasonal offer doing flu shots and another full time seasonal camp position. They both start in September. If I do the camp one it would be full time and I would have to give up my current regular job. I feel like I need the RN experience and would do both the camp and flu shot jobs while I keep looking for a permanent position. I feel I would have a better position in getting a permanent RN position if I have some nursing experience. My family thinks I should keep my nanny job and do the flu shots position on the side until I find a permanent RN position because that has been my constant source of income and the only one my family has at the moment. I am still putting out applications on a daily basis. What would you do. TIA
  8. Instructions are here in red https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/pearsonvue-trick-part-403722.html Good Luck
  9. Kaplan 2011-2012 book, Exam Cram, Saunders, definately need Lacharity. I used the Feuer Nursing Review CDs for content. I was not able to do tons of practice questions because I work so I was nervous about that but I think knowing your content helps you navigate through the questions. The Kaplan strategies helped me do that.
  10. Thank you allnurses for your tips and support over the past few years. I couldn't have done it without you. Wrote this morning and tried pvt a couple of hours later and got the good pop up. Prioritization, psych and SATA, only 1 math. I didn't even get a chance to read my Lacharity and I wished I had during my test. Good Luck!!!
  11. Where did you get the Kaplan test questions if you did not do the class?
  12. I'm still a student but after my med surg clinicals I take off my shoes before I get into my car, put on flip flops that I keep in my car and put the work shoes in a plastic bag and they go in the trunk. They never get into my home. When its time for clinical, I just get the bag out of the trunk, put on socks and the shoes go on the ground outside the car and leave my flip flops on the driver's side for when I come out of the hospital.
  13. Thanks me too I decided on a skirt suit instead of a pant suit. Good luck!!
  14. I was wondering what would be appropriate to wear for an interview at Hospital for Central CT. I have seen a lot of posts say that wear what is appropriate for the facility but I have never been there before and don't know how casual or formal they are. Since its in the 90's now, a black pant suit might be too hot and I may look overdressed. What do you think? Anyone work there or have any input about dressing for hosp interviews in the summer. TIA
  15. How long did it take after submitting your application to get a response from St Raphael's. Does anyone know if they let you know if you did not get the position. TIA
  16. Thank you I will use these next year.
  17. Thanks, I never knew there was such a thing.
  18. I'll try that thank you :)
  19. I was wondering if anyone would help me with references for evidence based nursing practice for things like track care and foleys. No luck on google. TIA
  20. Please send me a copy too at [email protected] TIA
  21. I too am starting and we had our orientation last Tuesday from 9am-1pm. They definately scared the crap out of me. We need a 73 to pass. Our first day of school is Sept 7th but because its a holiday I am going to have my clinical before lecture. I am excited and our syllabus is sooo thick. I hope to get my books soon so I can read I ahead, I understand better when I read ahead. Good luck to all of us. I am done with all my prerequisites and electives so I only have nursing classes left.
  22. I finished A&P1 today and I am excited and ready for a little break. I can apply to my nursing school now and I hope to get into the Summer program. I don't know my final grade yet but I know it's at least a B. Thank you for all the support. Happy Holidays
  23. I am taking it this Spring too but I have not heard yet how it compares to A&P 1. I still have to go through my final 2 exams this week. I hope it is better. So you are starting the nursing program and doing A&P 2 at the same time? Have you taken micro yet?
  24. This is a great site, I haven't used it yet but it looks promising. It is always great to have one more option for selling books. Thanks for sharing.
