My work experience is only as a trainee (500 hours to be exact). BEFORE I READ THE 200+ THREADS MAY I KNOW IF I'M QUALIFIED and CAN APPLY TO AUSTRALIA FOR THE BRIDGING PROGRAM MYSELF? Thanks.

Can someone explain the concept of GWA in nutshell please! I dont understand it. Some hospitals in the Phil. requires it for employment. MAY I KNOW WHAT IS A DECENT GWA RATING? what is the acceptable gwa for ust, slmc, makati med etc? help please.

i took my exam last september 19 here in the philippines. i don't have an ssn # for california. my letter arrived october 7. so the results arrived saying that i passed exactly came at two weeks and four days. good luck to everyone and you are in my prayers!

hi bubbly. good luck to you. i really did not study a pharma book. cuz i know if i did i will lose my mind! lol. i know 100% that i aced the pharma part of my exam and that is all because of allnurses.com! here's what i did: i studied the suffixes,prefixes and "in betweens" of the drugs (very helpful). also the thread for it here * what i did is i generalized everything for each type example: -"statins" are for lowering cholesterol levels and has side effects of myalgias, muscle cramps, rhabdomyolysis etc. -"cox" like celecoxib are nsaids and has side effects of tinnitus etc. just like that! you do not need to study each drug! you will go crazy! look for the thread here for nclex tv pharma, frequently asked meds that's all the drugs you need to know! hope this helps.

i passed for the 1st take! i can now move on with my life. i would like to thank allnurses.com for everything! this site was a big instrument for me in passing my nclex (the random facts, the frequently asked meds, frequent tv ads meds).thank you so much for that!!!!! i am a testament that with this site you can help yourself pass. i never imagined that i can pass the nclex without the aid of review centers. cuz' enrolling in review centers is the trend here in the philippines. i took my nclex exam (california) last september 19 here in makati,phil. i finished in about 1.15 hours. i had 15 sata, no math, tons of pharma (thanks to allnurses cuz i know 100% that i nailed the pharma parts of my exam), priorit and deleg questions. thanks for all your pep talks and prayers. lastly, i offer my triumph to my almighty god, without him i could never reach this far. thank you so much. praise you!!!!! to all those wondering, here's what i studied: 1. saunders q&a only (but i advice you to still study the compre book. i did not study the compre book cuz i have just passed our local board and i know that my nsg concepts are stil fresh so i decided to focus on the q&a book) 2. the kaplan 1-7 trainers ( i think this is one of the most important tool you can have) 3. allnurses.com!!!!!!! the best!!! use the random facts thread. thank you allnurses.com and i will recommend this site to tonsssss of people. maraming maraming salamat po (thank you very much)

Wow. So many things here I was't able to read. Can an Rn delegate traction care or pin care site be to UAP or LVN? and another "in a triage situation you are to quickly assess and aid those who you can help to survive in the long run before you help those who are severely/critically injured"..I think this is right.

hello goodluck to you.i used a lot of reviewer. but i think after i saw the exam itself i suggest to you that you stick to saunders compre and q & a. yun lang! then find a kaplan 1-7 trainer! the exam looks like it (finish 1-7 a week b4 your exam). look here in allnurses for the threads on 'frequently asked meds on nclex and us tv drug ads". memorize and familiarize them.those thread will save you in pharma. i guarantee you. are you takin it in makati or in the states? we filipinos are crazy test takers! last 19 i had fellow test-taker who finished the whole thing in about 14 minutes! i was like...***** so dont be rattled when someone leaves the room ahead of you. you will notice it cuz the room is kinda small.

i sat the nclex last 19 here in manila. 3 pm. i was done in about 1.15 hours. i had 75 questions -15 satas ( uggh! some of them almost back-to-back)...i almost collapsed lol, and i have about 8 meds,and i have no calculations. i am very worried cuz my last three questions were very easy. since this site was a big help to me i'm gonna do my share of sharing. 1. believe everyone that 70 percent of the exam will be on delegation,prioritization,cohorting. i believe that this is the foundation of the exam. everything revolve around these 3 things. 2. tons of meds will be thrown in your face. just remember this: you do not need to study a pharma book! i am telling you! if you study one...i think,in my opinion, you will have a much harder time in nclex-pharma. just look in threads here for the "most commonly tested meds in nclex" and "most advertised drugs in us television"...it's about 150 drugs to familiarize with. everything is in there. i am very certain that i passed the pharma part in my exam. but the rest of the exam i am very uncertain. 3. pray. pray. pray. it was hard. i hope i passed. keeping my fingers crossed. i leave my fate to the almighty one. thanks again everyone for the inputs and moral support.

HI Guys. I took NCLEX last 19. It was indeed horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finished at 75 at 1.10 hours. I had 15 SATA and about 7 meds question. I'm worried cuz my last three qusetion were easy? Does it have any indication. As of know I have only 1 question that I answered thats confirmed wrong by me. Ill keep you posted. I'll have my suggestions to you later. Thanks. Keep me in ur prayers. You are freaking out? why? I think these are good ones. I'm also from the philippines...and Im also taking my exam on friday on an afternoon slot in pearson makati. How about you? My kaplan scores are: 60,63,64,65,63,65,63...I'm pretty much at ease with these scores. I know some people who had scores at 40-50s in their trainer and still passed. Relax! you can do it! We can do it.

Good luck to all September test takers! I'm taking my exam in two days. I don't know why I don't feel a thing. I'm so numb right now. I just wanna get over this exam. If I pass...I pass. If I fail the I'll just get up...dust myself up and try again (with suzanne's plan of course). I've just finished 30 minutes ago my Kaplan question trainer number 7. I'm so glad I'm done self reviewing. Dunzo...no more! hahaha By the way, my scores in Kaplan QT are the ff: 60,63,64,65,63,65,63. are these decent enough? I know that its not a gauge in passing the actual exam. I just wanna know if someone here with the same scores managed to pass. no matter what happen I wanna thank each one of here for the support and inputs you gave me. This site is really a big help!!!!
