  1. I just completed my first year of nursing. I have a few pointers that might help you including: 1-Rest and relax over the summer 2-time management skills will be important 3-the imformation can be overwhelming at first but you will adjust over time 4-everything does start to fit together over time 5-lots of reading and studying--always try to stay ahead of the reading 6-don't fall behind in readings or skills 7-THE MOST IMPORTANT POINTER i COULD SAY IS TO REMEMBER TO BREATHE. Try to take everyday one at a time!!!! The first year will be over before you know it. CONGRATS :yeah::yeah:
  2. ONE YEAR DOWN, ONE MORE TO GO!!! The past year has been filled with a lot of ups and downs. I truly believe that i earned four months off for summer. CONGRATS, TO ALL WHO HAVE MADE IT TO SECOND YEAR!!!:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:
  3. I felt very burnout by the middle of november. I was going through so many emotions during the pass semester. I remember feeling sad one moment to being happy. I truly believe that the first semester of nursing was overwhelming to say the less. I am so happy for the break, but also I am really exicted to start second semester. Congrats to all that made it through the stressful times!!
  4. I'm sooooo happy first first semester with a B+, move on to second semester. Congrats to all that get to move on!!!
  5. Our break is from dec 12, 2008 to jan 12, 2008. A whole month of much needed rest and relaxation.
  6. My grading scale is a little easier then the ones posted on here. Mine goes as follows: A-----86+ A- 80-85 B+ 77-79 B 74-76 B- 70-73 C+ 67-69 C 63-66 To pass my program you require to have a 63 © to continue to next semester.
  7. All I have to say is this semester was full of up's and downs!! I can't believe how many different emotions I went through this semester. I remember feeling overwhelmed, scared, crying and sometimes a little angry. But, when all was said and done my first semester went fine looking back on it. I'm very proud of my self I passed all my classes with a B+ average. I am now going to enjoy my much needed break!! Congrats to all that passed first semester, and good luck next semester.
  8. I really enjoy being in nurse school!! I'm having a blast, everyday is new and exicting information. I find the rpn program challenging but doable. I have found the program very busy, lots of things to do, not enough hours in the day. I have had 3 tests so far got over 80 on all of them. I'm going to be starting my 5 week on monday can't wait. I'm glad to hear that your program is going great, you will be a good nurse. I hope that everything works out for you!!! Congrats sooo far in the nursing program, remember graduation is only 2 years away!!!

  10. I was just curious if anyone else is starting nursing in sept 2008. I am really exicted, scared and nervous. I can't believe that I still have one month to wait. The months since feb 2008 since I got accepted have been long. I was just curious what other new students are feeling about the waiting game. Also, I was curious what school your going into??? I am going to Lambton College in Sarnia. Thanks good luck to all!!!
  11. i have been accepted into the rpn program in Ontario in sept 2008. I was very curious what type of role rpn play in hospitals in Ontario????
  12. I believe like the above posting to run from that LTC!! Not all LTC are like that, you will find one that fits you!! Keep smiling it will get better!!

  15. I recently got in to the rpn program that starts in Sept 2008 at my community college. I have just recently completed all my pre-req for the program. I find myself having mixed feelings about the nursing profession. Recently, I have been having thought that I wouldn't be able to pass the program?? I also have been having feelings of will I get a job after graduation?? I will be 30 when I graduate from rpn in Ontario. I also have been wondering what type of jobs Rpn can get in ontario??? I was also curious if they is currently a demand for rpn in Ontario??? P.s before deciding to go back to school I was a PSW or HCA!!! Sorrry for the questions just very exicted, nervous and scared about starting nursing in Sept!!!! Any Help would be greatly accept!!!
